Last night I curled up in bed with the dogs sleeping next to me and opened up my latest issue of Better Homes & Gardens. I have subscribed to this magazine for years. And I have to say, it just keeps getting better and better.
I love that they feature bloggers in their issues oftentimes too.
The living space above is very intimate with the chairs and the couch in a cozy arrangement, where traffic is directed around the seating space, not through it.
When you cordon off an area with furniture, it sort of makes a special little room of its own.
It’s hard to believe that a small dining space was able to be carved out of this small area. But it was accomplished here with aplomb. And right in front of a window so the diners could gaze out as they ate.
This little office area seems to be in a closet. They defined the area with wallpaper. And even in such a small space, you can see that a lot can be accomplished and stored here. Like the shelves that were added for storage.
Here’s another living space that is light and airy. You hardly notice you’re in a small space. This area has been defined by the jute rug. And using just a few colors makes the space automatically look larger than it is.
The yellow, white and green is just beautiful here. And so cheerful.
Last but not least (and this is my favorite) are these cubed boxes on the wall. They are so sweet with the backs decorated with various prints.
What a statement being made with the various special pieces added inside and on top. This would look fantastic in a child’s room or on a gallery wall.
Oh, I do believe I got my color fix on this dreary cold afternoon! See you tomorrow for Creative Bloggers Of The Week.
