Things I’d Like To Make

Last night I was perusing Pinterest, and I started thinking about all the crafts I’d like to make.

And then I think about those cans of dog food the pupsters eat. Instead of tossing them, look at all these little pretties I could make. Instant desk storage.

The other day I found a plastic bag full of silverware I’ve collected here and there. I really should do something with it. Like this sweet little whimsical lampshade. Cute, huh?
I’ve always had an affinity for yardsticks. Especially vintage ones. Wouldn’t these little crafts be fun to make?
I’ve always loved the feminine tussie-mussies. And I’ve always planned to make one. Or two. But just never got around to it. These would be fun as Christmas ornaments too.
I don’t have fabric anymore. But I have a plastic bin full of felt and wool felt stored underneath my bed. A project something like this would be fun to make. And I love crazy quilt stitching.
So maybe I’ll get around to making one of these.
How about you? Do you have a craft project you just haven’t gotten around to yet?

  1. These are so cute! I have a huge bag of silverware also, and I sort of wan to make windchimes from it. Do you know if it is hard to drill through? The penny rug/mat would be a good winter project to do and it seems very portable. The desk set is something I need to do. I am forever looking for something that I need and it always seems like it has sprouted feet and walk away!
Hope your problems with the doctors works out soon. I do understand your frustration with it all.
    Have a relaxing Autumn day!

  2. Love that lamp shade!
…and I send cans off in the recycle. But currently, I have a bag waiting to be sent out. We wash them out…so they're not all gunky, you know?
Little tin cans… waiting to be made into Perfect little desk top organizers!

  3. I bought an antique wool penny rug last week from someone who was apparently using it in the cat bed. I haven't begun to figure out how to clean that yet. Or match the colors of circles that are missing. I do like making things with felt though, no hemming!

  4. Hi Brenda,
These are all wonderful craft inspirations…One can definitely find lots of that on Pinterest. Believe me I have tons of projects that I would like to someday too…But all we can do is take it one day at a time, and one project at a time right? 🙂 Wishing you a wonderfully creative new week.

    Hugs and Kisses,

  5. What fun craft ideas! Unfortunately, arthritis keeps me from making anything anymore. My fingers are too painful and crooked. I look forward to seeing what projects you create!

  6. Brenda, I have lots of craft ideas that I haven't gotten around to 😉 Those are some really cute ideas that you picked. Look forward to seeing your creations.

  7. Wonderful crafty ideas here, Brenda. I always have a long list of things I want to make. Your crazy quilt idea sounds great….it would be lovely made with felt and such a nice project for winter stitching.
    Happy new week.
