How To Get Decked Out For Christmas

I have all found all kinds of ideas for you to start getting geared up for the holidays.

I will be starting to make ornaments this week. And you’re welcome to join me. Hint: small mason jar lids from Walmart.

If you want to pick up a couple of boxes of mason jar lids (they’re very cheap) I’ll show you what I’m going to be making for ornaments this year.

Here’s some great tips for decorating the Christmas tree by ellaclaireinspired.com

It might be fun to decorate the windows. But I like some of these ideas at stylisheve.com

Don’t forget the windowsills. Wouldn’t this be a great way to greet guests coming over for a party?

Speaking of parties, look what a fun table you could set up for your guests. So cute!

I think you’re going to see a lot of plaid in Blog Land this holiday season. Plaid is very hot right now. Below is a very plaid Christmas!

Table centerpieces come in all shapes and sizes. This one is simple yet elegant. And I adore red and white!

I will be getting my candles out to decorate with, you can be sure.

If you want to get started making ornaments without me, look at these cutie pie owl ornaments by Lia Griffith. She is so talented.

I love to work with felt. I have a box of wool felt in a box underneath my bed as a matter-of-fact.

I just love the idea of decorating the kitchen in Christmas finery. Do you decorate your kitchen?

And here’s some great ideas to get ready for guests for the holidays. You will be the hit of the family!

I’ve been cleaning today. I figured it was better to have everything all smelling good and looking shiny clean before I start crafting and dragging out the boxes.

I want you to know I mopped the floor with Ms. Meyer’s dish soap I found under the counter, so there shouldn’t be any chemicals on the floor for the pupsters to walk around in. No Pine Sol. Thanks for the tip!

So this week, let the decorating begin. I have got to get ready for mine and Debra’s (Common Ground) Christmas Open House link party! You might want to get ready for it too.

But right now I’ve got to go see my little man Andrew!

  5. These are such great ideas! I love all of them. I hang simple glass ornaments in my windows but I like this colorful version. I'm going to visit some of these blogs.

Great idea to clean before decorating—it is almost impossible after. I'm glad you are using the Mrs. Meyers products. I use the multi surface cleaner for my counters and floors…the dish soap may make your floors look dull.

Have a great time with Andrew. Pictures, please!!! 🙂

Great ideas here, Brenda – so exciting!!
