Just as it’s getting cold here, my peppers are finally ripening. They’d better hurry up before we get a frost!
They go crazy after a bath. They run around all hyper and act goofy. Well, even goofier than usual.
Abi in the above pic looks pretty hang-doggish, doesn’t she? As if she’s got the weight of the world on her shoulders.
I’ve got to get them groomed when I get the okay from Charlie’s eye specialist. They look like little bears.

I started reading “The Silent Wife” last night and got more than halfway through it. It’s a good one too.
A wife, who’s also a therapist, and who had her life precisely laid out early in adulthood gets a surprise she never say coming. And her well-ordered life begins to crumble.
Gotta watch those real anal ones. They don’t like their apple cart upturned or messed with!
I don’t know why I grew these peppers. They’re too hot for me and I give them to Israel. He eats peppers on everything.
I’m a bit on the fence about Christmas decorating. On the one hand, I see all the pretty pictures on Pinterest and it makes me want to get all gung-ho.
But something seems to be holding me back.
In some ways I want a more minimal approach. After all, I live in a one-bedroom apartment. There isn’t tons of room. I don’t want to step around clutter for a month.
I don’t even know if I want to put up one of my table top trees yet. I’m surprisingly indecisive this year.
I might just decorate on surfaces and call it a day. Because I know many of you are like me and don’t have just scads of room.
I guess I’ll know when the feeling hits me. Which usually happens around Thanksgiving. I’m not one to start before then.
I made a pot roast in the crock pot that was SO delicious! I got the recipe off Pinterest (of course). And was so hungry I didn’t remember to take photos.
It was really simple.
I browned my chuck roast in my electric skillet. Then put it into the crock pot with 1/3 cup of water. I mixed up three powdered store mixes: Italian dressing mix, Hidden Valley dressing mix, and brown gravy mix.
Then I poured it on top of the roast, and cooked it on low for 8 hours.
Normally I cook potatoes with it. But this time I didn’t. I made scalloped potatoes in the Breville.
It was really good, fall apart tender, and now I have leftovers to look forward to!
