Book Summary:

My Review:
This suspenseful story had me guessing who the murderer was till the very end. I love books that I can’t figure out.
Falk was scarred by memories of his younger self, still somewhat ashamed of the view people in his hometown had of him, though he was innocent of any wrong doing. Town residents let him know they didn’t want him back in their town, regardless of the reason.
Falk and the local detective ultimately figure out who killed his friend Luke and his family. While also finding out what happened to the girl he was blamed for killing all those years ago.
About The Author:
Jane Harper was born in Manchester in the UK, and moved to Australia with her family at age eight.
In 2014, Jane submitted a short story which was one of 12 chosen for the Big Issue‘s annual Fiction Edition.
That inspired her to pursue creative writing more seriously, and that year she applied for an online 12-week novel writing course.
She was accepted with a submission for the book that would become The Dry.
Jane lives in St Kilda with her husband and daughter.

This sounds like a good keep your turning pages book, what I love. Maybe library will have it. Usually buy all my books at our local thrift store. Hard backs are 50cents and paperbacks are 25cents, good deal. While I was sick over holidays did lot of reading. Just finished a good book by Jodi Picoult – Change of heart. Maeve Binchy – Firefly Summer I love her books, have almost every one. Was sorry to find out she died not log ago..what a shame her books were so good, wonderful story lines, all in Ireland.

Sounds like it might be something I would read despite my aversion to crime novels. As long as it isn’t too gory or scary!
I tho’t of you when I was reading the Sunday issue of our local paper today. I read an article about a local judge named Rosemarie E. Aquilina who has just published a “thriller” called Triple Cross Killer. I’m tempted to read it just because she is local and from the article seems like an interesting person.
The article says that the book was released in December by a small but up-coming publishing house in Alabama called “Fiery Seas”. It is a soft cover detective novel set in Detroit, MIchigan and Sarasota, Florida. It says Aquilina has been granting interviews with bloggers and promoting the book on-line. Just in case you are interested in reading it. I’m going to try and get a copy myself.
I just may try this one since it sounds interesting!

Sounds like a great read. I love books too where you think you have it figured out and then things change while you are reading through to have you go in a new direction.
