The sun is shining and the birds are tweeting out front. We had rain, but now there’s scarcely a breeze as indicated by the tree branches I can see out back. The weather has been nice, much warmer. And this fact has me yearning to start planting, but of course it is far too soon.
All of us are saddened by the most recent school shooting. An AR15 of course, and a 19 year old boy. This country is simply not doing enough to stop the carnage.
We are seven weeks into this year, and in the United States we have averaged a school shooting every 2.5 days. This is the 18th school shooting of 2018. Overall, there have been 30 mass shootings so far this year.
I know all of you are following this already, so I will move to another topic.
For some strange reason, I have left the cold water running twice this week and almost flooded my kitchen. I have managed to walk in there on both occasions and catch it just as it was about to spill over.
I have no idea what this is about. I shall have to be more careful obviously. I hope it is mere coincidence.
I’m still having the strangest dreams. I don’t know what’s going on in my brain.
I received two wood and glass terrariums from Bellacor last night. They wrote and asked if I’d decorate and post about this set of terrariums. So I will be showing that next week. I haven’t figured out just what I’m doing with them yet.
I am currently reading “The Vanishing Season” by Joanna Chaffhausen. I’ve just read a few chapters so far.
Once I got up this morning and turned on this computer I realized that I’d posted a book review that had been scheduled for days. Had I realized it when I scheduled it, had I known about the school shooting yesterday, I would not have posted it. So I was not being tone deaf.
What are you reading or doing this week?
