Someone asked how I make iced coffee. There are many ways to make iced coffee. Pinterest will give you lots of recipes.
But this is how I happen to make it, and I adjust the ingredients to suit my own personal taste preference.
Below are my main ingredients. I just happen to have Folgers decaf, but you can use regular or whatever kind of coffee you like. Folgers is a little gritty. Maybe I’ll try a different kind once this is used up that will give a smoother taste.
First I get three ice cubes from my freezer and put it into the bottle for my smoothie blender. (Shown below).
I purchased the smoothie blender at Amazon.com about a month ago. It was around $22.
It’s small and doesn’t take up much room on my kitchen counter. Plus it was a good price and had lots of good reviews.
I also make smoothies with this blender. But it is nice and handy to make iced coffee as well.
So after I put the three ice cubes in the blender, I add almond milk and water. (You might prefer a different kind of milk. I drink almond milk.)
Then I add a few spoonfuls of the Frozen Bean Caramel Macchiato mix. It was around $5 at the Walmart market where I’ve been shopping for groceries lately.
They had a few other flavors. I just happen to prefer caramel.
The other day I was in the Walmart market and happened to see this caramel syrup by Starbucks. It was around $5. I add a little of this in after the macchiato mix, almond milk, Folgers coffee, and water.
I blend all in my smoothie blender. I’ve noticed that adding a bit of water makes it frothy at the top.
So here are the ingredients I use. I don’t measure:
- Almond milk
- Folgers coffee (I add less than half a teaspoon)
- Frozen Bean Caramel Macchiato Latte mix
- Starbucks caramel flavored syrup
I add these ingredients to suit my own taste buds. You should do the same.
You can twist off the part of the smoothie blender that does the blending with blades, and then take the same plastic bottle and add the spill proof drinking lid that comes with the blender. That’s what I drink my iced coffee from.
I see no point in getting a glass or mug dirty when this is so handy and already in use.
This is a fast and easy way to make iced coffee.
My daughter is getting off work at noon today and she’s picking me up to go to lunch, so I will be getting out for a bit.
