I just wanted to let you guys know that I’m back home from eye surgery. I feel a little more discombobulated after this one. But then I didn’t sleep much last night.
I wasn’t really worried about the surgery, but about leaving Charlie. I gave him a Composure chewable before I left and hopefully that relaxed him while I was gone.
He’s on the couch next to me now.
While my daughter was here, he kept making sounds trying to talk to her and get her attention. I’ve never seen him do that with anyone else. But then she’s really the only person who comes here.
She stopped at a drive through and I bought us some breakfast on the way home because we hadn’t eaten. I’m always hungry after I’ve fasted all night.
My eye isn’t bothering me. So far it doesn’t hurt. I remember with the right eye it would sometimes get scratchy and irritated that first week. They said it would be kind of blurry for a day or so.
I’m so relieved to have it all over with. Tomorrow morning I go to my optometrist so he can check the eye.
Now maybe I can start some of the smaller projects I’ve been hankering to do. But I don’t think I’ll try to paint furniture for a few weeks.
It will be a year next month since I began painting the living and dining room but couldn’t stand on the ladder to paint all the way up to the ceiling. It’s still that way. The painting was never finished.
I’m hoping to get someone to help me with it before too long.
Every time I start climbing up anything my ankle does badly and then I have to wear the cam boot. And it’s just too hot to wear the boot.
It’s been raining off and on all morning. I got out on the patio around 5 a.m. and changed the bird’s water and watered plants in the dark. Hopefully the rain will be intermittent all day and I won’t have to water again.
I’m going to rest awhile. Which means I’ll probably read or watch TV. I wish I could take naps during the day. But I’m just not wired that way.
Thanks for all your well wishes and encouragement. I appreciate all of you so much! And Charlie thanks you for your concern.
