Yesterday after physical therapy I stopped by the grocery store. They have all kinds of decor in the front, and I saw this cute rabbit wall hanging. I put it in my cart after seeing the price was only $9.99.
Wow, I thought, they have little salt and pepper shakers way higher than that. But then before I headed to the produce nearby I put it back.
Late yesterday afternoon I knew I really wanted that rabbit wall hanging. For sure at that price. There was only one, so I drove the several miles back over there and luckily it was still available.
It’s not a painting and it isn’t covered with glass. I don’t know quite what to call it. The design looks like it’s on fabric.
These days I see lots and lots of blue and white decor everywhere. It seems to be the trend for bloggers’ choice of color combos. But I like green because it reminds me of nature.
I’m glad I went back for it. I like it on my green sideboard.
Ivy & Crashing Sounds:
This morning I heard a crash and Ivy had knocked it over. Thankfully it doesn’t have glass so it didn’t break.
Charlie and I have grown accustomed to hearing loud crashes. We know Ivy is into something.
Yesterday she knocked over a stool and it sounded like someone was knocking down the door. When she jumps from my desk to the top of my craft cabinet, with her size it is quite loud. It scared me the first few times I heard it.
Tree Blooms Now Falling:
I’m not certain whether the overhanging tree with white flowers is a ligustrum or a privet. I’ve looked up both and it could be either one in my estimation. After the beautiful dainty white flowers of last week, this week they are turning brown and falling.
The fallen flowers cause a mess, but I so enjoy that one week when the scent is so fragrant. So I’ll have some cleaning up to do when they’ve finished falling to the cement.
I love, love, love my little settee in the corner. You know I knew before I went to get it that that corner was precisely where I wanted it to go. Sometimes plans don’t work out due to size constraints, but this fit perfectly.
Right now it is about my favorite area of the patio. Although now it is covered with the brown flowers from the tree.
I found a way to get Charlie’s most expensive heart medication cheaper.
Chewy’s never had it in stock, so I had them email me when they finally did. I knew it would be hit and miss to order it from there. So the other day I put it on auto order for each month.
Ordering it from Chewy’s saves me nearly $40 off the nearly $100 it costs at the vet’s office.
Ivy has started laying on the table next to my chair while I write my posts. She sprawls across it and sometimes slips over the side because of her bulk. Sometimes she reaches over with her paws to grab my fingers and manages to type something.
Ivy likes to be near me. When I’m on the floor each morning doing stretching exercises she will flop over on her back and watch me on my back. As of yet she hasn’t figured out the moves!
Do I even need to add that Ivy is a very spoiled little girl. If she isn’t getting attention then she will demand it.
I haven’t seen the cardinal couple around as I usually do. Once I saw the male up in the tree and then the female. But typically they’re all over the patio. I hope they come back because I truly enjoy seeing them.
The Bewick’s Wrens:
Once the Bewick’s wrens built their nest in the bird house, I haven’t seem them either. I suppose they’re busy nesting. But I do sometimes see a fluffy bird feather wafting across the patio.
I moved the hanging galvanized container down toward the end of the back of my apartment. Now if birds want to nest there, they won’t be disturbed by my going to the water spigot.
Yellow, Purple & White Color Palette:
In the past three years I’ve come up with color palettes for my gardening space. I really like the yellow, purple and white. It is soothing to see the continuity of those colors throughout the patio.
When I had every color in the rainbow somehow the patio seemed smaller. I guess because so much was going on.
Did you have a color palette for your flower space?
