The shining is shining and the temps are rising, but thankfully I can gaze outside and now see the settee on my patio again.
I caught Nathan yesterday and had him cut one big branch that led to a bunch of others.
I see I need to clean the glass on the French doors.
I don’t go out back much except to water and go out with Charlie. It’s just too hot.
And much of the day I keep the curtains closed to the heat, so I miss the view.
Tomorrow Charlie has acupuncture in the a.m., so I might not post until after.
I’m finally starting to feel fairly normal after the shingles vaccine. I’m hoping the second one won’t be so bad afterward.
We are all still waiting to see about the new owners of this complex. Nathan said they all had to sign forms that said they agreed to stay until a certain date. But then he’s planning to leave. Not sure where he’ll go.
However the manager here is currently moving in opposite Nathan in a two bedroom apartment, so maybe she’s staying with the new company? No one seems to know.
And if they know, they’re keeping mum about it all.
Of course Nathan is broke again and needs work, but I’m spending my money on Charlie and can’t help him much right now. I did pay him $100 last week to get some things done around here that are hard for me to tackle alone.
I remember what it was like to be young and poor. I even remember what it was like to be old and poor.
It’s hard to get on top of things. Especially if you’re paying child support for 3 young children.
Above is a moon flower that should probably open up tonight. It fills up like a balloon and begins to open and then the big white flower begins to unfurl around dusk. They are so lovely.
I started watching “Collateral” last night on Netflix. I quickly got into the plot and watched 2 episodes. I will watch more tonight. Then I read more of my book I told you about.
Collateral only has 4 episodes, so I might finish it up tonight. The plot addresses the refugee crisis in Europe.
