Someone commented on Tuesday that I should get out while the weather was nice. Well, I took their advice. I drove to Homegoods. I typically find good stuff at Homegoods.
Look what I found!
Exactly the right size for this space.
I had gone up and down the aisles at Homegoods a number of times. I found a pillow I liked and went to check out.
Then for some reason I turned around and went back and took a final looky-loo. And that’s when I came across this gem.
It was not on the floor. It was up off the floor toward the back. Tucked in where I hadn’t seen it on my previous rounds of the store.
I have wanted one of these ever since I got into the boho frame of mind.
On Amazon they had similar ones that you put together, but one of the reviewers said hers came with termites. Yuck!
Finally something that isn’t too big to utilize the doggy steps and I’m able to get to my chair without tripping.
That beige boho pillow is the pillow I fell in love with. Nice and soft with a zipper for easy washing of the pillow cover.
That table went into my basket and I didn’t even have my measuring tape with me to measure it. I’d left it in the car because it never occurred to me I might find this.
I usually always measure furniture before I buy it. But I could tell this piece of furniture was just right.
It’s just a small surface, big enough for a plate and a drink maybe. And it’s just so pretty.
I’ve really got the boho vibe going now. And it’s a good vibe for me. With other decorating styles I tend to be too exact. Patterns have to match. Colors can’t clash.
With the boho style, I’m less regimented. I’ve even got two patterns, one a pillow and the other a quilt, on my couch, and it isn’t driving me crazy.
When you’re out shopping, even if you really aren’t looking for any particular thing, listen to that little voice. The one that says: I think I need to take one more look around the store.
Listen to that little voice, because if I hadn’t, I’d have checked out with the pillow and never seen this boho table that I just love.
