Last week I decided to clean the glass carafe of my Cuisinart coffee maker. It is just a plain coffee maker; no frills.
But the very bottom gets dark with a coffee stain and it is hard to get clean because it is on a slight curve. Hard to get into that curve to clean it.
I had tried unsuccessfully to clean it a few times with Dawn dish washing liquid and water. So I decided to try baking soda.
Boy, that got it clean! I didn’t have to leave it sitting with the baking soda in it or anything. No scrubbing either. Just sprinkled some in, wiped with a sponge and it was done. Good as new.
I received three pairs of curtains yesterday that I ordered from Amazon.
Over the weekend I decided to wash the green and beige curtains I had on my living room and bedroom windows plus the French doors because there was cat hair on them and I’m sure dust as well.
I washed them on cold and low spin but still they shrunk quite a bit and when I hung them, saw that they were a good 4 inches too short.
So I got on Amazon and shopped for new ones. I don’t have them out of the package yet because they came after dark and I was exhausted to get out the iron and ironing board.
Sorry about the small photo. It was the only one I could get off the site.
They came in red and beige, navy and beige and taupe and beige. Of course I chose the red and beige. I wanted the ones that use grommets because they’re easier to open and close. And that’s what I already had.
Here’s what it says about them: DriftAway Freda Jacobean Floral Linen Blend, Lined Thermal Insulated Room Darkening Blackout, Grommet Window Curtains, 2 Layers 2 Panels Each 50 Inch by 84 Inch Red Beige. Here is the link.
I thought these were reasonably priced for two panels to a package for three windows: $38.99. Plus I wanted insulated room darkening curtains.
I will show them to you once I get them ironed and hanging up.
