Sorry there was no post this morning. We have been without power since 8 a.m. A massive tree went down on the electrical lines a few blocks away at a country club. Many businesses have been without electricity as well.
I tried to call my doctor’s office to ask them what to do about the cyst on the inside of my cheek just a few minutes ago, but they couldn’t hear me. Apparently something with Cox cable must still be out too, though there was a dial tone.
On top of all that it has been raining and snowing off and on. Went from pretty warm yesterday to cold harsh winds and precipitation today.
Several times I’ve taken Charlie and drove around awhile so he won’t be so cold. At least I could get it warm in the car.
This morning, since there was no one to call around here, I got in touch with the sheriff’s office, who then switched me over to the police department, who then switched me over to the fire department.
No one knew what to do about this property having no one around to manage it. They looked up the address, but the owners are different and all I could find was an LLC company name to give them.
I don’t know if they ever found out anything or not. Being a holiday, the courthouse is closed, so couldn’t find out anything there.
I called the manager of another property they purchased. She used to be the manager here, and she said they just don’t have a manager right now. Well, yeah, we all knew that.
Why in hell didn’t they leave the manager who was already here around until they found someone else? Or let her stay here? They sent the maintenance men from here over to another property. Why couldn’t they have left someone here?
I just wanted to let you know that we’re all right around here. When my fingers warm up a little, I’ll try my doctor’s office again. Got to start somewhere.
I found out that my health insurance will be going up over $300 more a month starting in January. So doubt I’ll be moving unless they drastically go up on the rent. That’s a pretty good chunk of money.
I’ll be back tomorrow morning unless something else happens. Hope you weren’t too worried. There was nothing I could do but wait for everything to come back on. It is all electric here.
