I overslept this morning. I’m up off and on with Charlie all night, and Ivy surprisingly didn’t wake me up like she typically does.
Anyway I’m caught up now with my morning chores and see that my granddaughter has written her first post. I purchased a $10 design for her blog and went about customizing it for her over the weekend.
She picked out things she wanted for it and her favorite color is yellow, so I let that guide me.
I’ve got to check with her mother to see if she wants “Marley’s World” to be private or not. I know she has concerns about Marley’s photos being online and I don’t blame her.
I told Marley maybe she should just post random photos of her life kind of like I do. In other words not her own photo.
I watched Series 3 Episode 1 of “Vera” last night, and it was a sad one. I won’t go into detail for those of you who might be behind me watching it. I saw more of Vera’s emotional side in this episode. Nearly had me crying at the end.
What a great actress Brenda Blethyn is!
I decided to go out for a little jaunt yesterday as I hadn’t gone anywhere all weekend. I drove to the antique mall in Jenks. Hadn’t been there in ages. I didn’t buy a thing, but walked up and down every aisle and enjoyed the exercise.
I came close to buying an old laundry tub so Marley can have her own container garden on the patio if she wants. But they kind of ruined the vintage tub by painting it chartreuse, so I passed it by.
I like the galvanized look and wasn’t too keen on the chartreuse. I have lots of pots, but thought she might like one unique just for her. That’s if she wants to dabble in gardening. I’m kind of getting ahead of myself!
The other cool air humidifier arrived last night, so I won’t have to be moving the one from room to room.
I didn’t know this, but apparently having one on helps keep your wood furniture healthy. So that’s another plus.
I stopped to pick up prescriptions at Walgreens on my way home from Jenks yesterday. My health insurance has gone up and now my prescriptions appear to have gone up as well. But I’m just thankful to have the insurance and it’s nothing I can’t handle I don’t think.
When will they ever get all this complicated health insurance stuff figured out and simplified? It’s all confusing to me. Ah well, in a few years I’ll qualify for Medicare.
My younger daughter deals with health insurance every day by way of helping heads of companies figure out plans for their employees. She keeps patiently trying to explain all the gobbledy-gook to me.
But it remains gobbledy-gook. I just get more confused the more detail she goes into.
I think I’d rather walk over hot coals than have to deal with that kind of thing all day. But she has always liked problems that have an exact answer.
In other words, she likes the black and white simplification of her job, while I’m more of a creative sort who just bounces along every which way.
My older daughter is more like me in that regard. She likes to work for herself and redesign flip houses and be on her own making her own decisions about things.
I’ve been thinking of fun things Marley and I can do when she’s out of school. I found a recipe for S’mores you can make in my Breville convection oven, and I thought she might like to try that.
A bit of chocolate and marshmallow on graham crackers and you’ve probably got a dripping hot mess that surely tastes fantastic.
