And now for a more upbeat post.
My vegetable plants were getting completely scorched in the heat. It has been 100+ this week.
And it’s only the first week of June!
I finally had to move them over to the shade for part of the day. Which meant moving my wicker settee and rolling them over there, the only bit of real shade I have.
I’ll watch the vegetable plants closely and make sure they get enough sun. Thankfully they’re on wheels so I can roll them around.
I have been quietly working on a new decorating project the last several weeks. I’m keeping mum about it, but it’s part of the reason I was putting together the bookcase earlier in the week.
With the Oklahoma heat rising rapidly it’s making being outside not as pleasant. So I will be working more on indoor projects the rest of the summer.
Something will be different in my home, but it will take a bit more time. Probably some painting going on. Definitely some moving of furniture.
But Ivy’s cat tower will remain just where she likes it. In front of the French doors where she can watch the birds outside. It may not look decorative, but it is her special place.
I like to challenge myself with new projects for small space living that hopefully will give you new ideas as well.
I’ll just say it includes the semi-separation of a room to see if I can achieve two distinct areas that will serve different purposes.
