It’s been another rushed morning for me. I had to take Charlie to acupuncture. Then I had to go to Walgreen’s to pick up Charlie’s heart medication that FedEx for some reason left there.
I’ve been dealing with this FedEx issue with the Chewys package all week. And FedEx was supposed to pick it back up days ago and bring it to me.
I’ve no idea why they left it there. Except it’s apparently a drop off point for FedEx for packages that can’t be delivered, I’m told.
Mix Up With FedEx:
FedEx said they knocked and I wasn’t home, I think Monday. Well I’m always home at that time. It’s when I write my blog posts.
And besides, I don’t want to open the door to them. I want it left on the porch.
So I’m upset that the ball was dropped. Because I was trying not to go into stores.
And I couldn’t drive through their pharmacy, because, inexplicably, the package was left in the photo department.
A Terrifying Day For Our Country:
Anyway, wasn’t yesterday a terrifying day in history? I’ve never seen anything like it. Our capitol buildings being stormed and desecrated and an angry mob storming police, who appeared unable to deal with it.
Something should be done. Today. I’m terrified of what the next 13 days will hold. The 25th Amendment should have been brought up a long time ago. I don’t understand this blind subservience to someone.
I watched what was unfolding on Twitter while the Senate and House Of Representatives were inside. Yesterday’s proceedings were what was once a formality.
Those inside had no idea that a mob was knocking down all the barriers and storming inside.
Imagine The Fear:
I imagine many staffers, who were aware of what was going on and hiding underneath their desks, were terrified. I believe four people died.
This should never have happened. Other countries are shocked and disappointed in us, as we were once an ally they could depend on. Now they’re not so sure.
I certainly hope we can soon be less anxious about what might be coming every single day and get back to some kind of normalcy. Although dealing with COVID-19 is far from normal.
We Need To Be United:
We should be united in fighting this pandemic that has taken so many.
What happened yesterday was both an embarrassment and an abomination. Heads should be rolling.
Can you believe it has come to this?
