    1. I just “discovered” you and your music tonite … outstanding. I want to get Comfort and Joy for the holidays, but right now I’m loving Transcend… I’m new at all this, so I’m building my likes carefully… you’re just the second artist I’m transfixed on … funny story about how I found this genre at all … I had to give my dog a shower because the bathtub was replaced with a walk-in tub. So to calm her down, I tuned into Relaxation music on Pandora. Voila!
After being in the rock world for so long, this is like another PLANET. If I could live life over, I’d aspire to become a pianist… I feel the emo and passion in it, but my fingers don’t cooperate 😪.
Thanks for providing what I need during some tough spiritual times. God bless you…

  1. I think a special “entertainment” section would be fabulous. We’re about to finish Vera on BritBox and I’m sorry to see her go. I’ll need to find something to replace her wonderful character.

    1. Hi, Emie!
Give Shetland a try or, if you want something more intense, MI-5 or Line of Duty.
We have watched all of the above including Vera (including episodes on Acorn).
We just started Foyle’s War – it is gentle; almost like Miss Marple gentle.
      Happy viewing!!

  2. Thanks, Karen. The depth of my settee is 17 inches.
And, Brenda, I appreciate the information. Thank you for allowing me to mention spring decorating so early. I think I have cabin fever!!!!

  3. I always love to hear about your musical and book recommendations.
This is a little off subject but a trip through Big Lots over the weekend prompted me to think about outdoor decor for spring. I couldn’t resist purchasing a lemon yellow garden stool and a bright red and yellow floral pillow. It made me smile to look at the sunny color combination. Could we discuss spring decorating one day? I’m so ready for it.
I might add that I have a wicker settee like you have on your patio. I’m searching for a solid cushion to coordinate with my new garden stool and pillow. Not sure whether I need solid red or yellow. In either case, I’m having a problem finding a cushion that is 37 inches wide since most cushions are 45 wide. Does anyone know where I can find one in the size I need?
Brenda, hope you don’t mind that I brought up spring decorating in the middle of winter

    1. Check on Amazon. I saw some that are 38 inches but I don’t know what seat depth you need.

    2. Of course I don’t mind. I went through former posts and saw that I had written about spring in a similar way more than a few times. So I’m trying to think of an alternate slant. Don’t know if it helps, but I got my cushion where I got the settee, At Home.

  4. Looking forward to your new pages and the “If I Disappear “ on television!

  5. I feel more hope now that I have the first of the Corona vaccinations. I know I will still have to protect myself but it’s a start. Thankfully, I didn’t have any side effects from the Moderna shot on Monday. And I am so grateful that I was able to get one.

I’ve enjoyed so many books, music, gardening, FaceTime and cat twitter since I’ve retired even though it’s been through this troubling time. It has help make the transition from being so irritable at work to feeling alive again. Your blog has been a big help too. And of course my cat Sophie! She’s loving my retirement and the fact that she has a lap for naps at her paw tips. My great niece and nephew FaceTime when they have something to show me such as playing at the park or a new piece of artwork – silly stuff but we enjoy it.

Thank you for doing what you do!

  6. I was thinking this morning about how I can change up the ways I entertain myself. It’s really interesting to think about, isn’t it?
I thoroughly enjoy every minute I spend with my needle and thread doing handwork and such. I used to enjoy reading but for reasons that are difficult to explain that interest has fallen by the wayside. However, I’m thinking I need to spend a few minutes, maybe daily, reading a page or two. That might help jumpstart my interest.
    I’m just babbling!
Enjoy your day, Brenda and I’m looking forward to seeing your new pages.

    1. If I could I’d still be doing needle work. But my hands just aren’t in good enough shape to enjoy that hobby any more.

      1. I have no doubt that you would and you’d truly enjoy it.
