  1. Hello! I am wondering how you like your CD player and how long you have had it. I have three different brands in my Amazon cart at the moment and would love some feedback! I, like most others, have no problem with your affiliate links. I thoroughly enjoy your blog and wish you luck in your search for a new home.

    1. I read lots and lots of reviews before I buy. I Google reviews online as well. I just looked in my orders and I bought it Dec. 15, 2020. It was my Christmas present as I don’t exchange gifts anymore. I do love it! I hope you see this. I couldn’t find an email address to send it to.

      1. Thank you for your feedback! I did include my email but kept checking back here just in case. I also read all the reviews but, honestly, they start to confuse me after awhile! So it’s nice to hear a direct experience. If I choose yours, I will be sure to use your link!

  2. I can’t believe I missed leaving a comment on this post! There are some troubling things happening in my corner of the world so my mind is very preoccupied. I’m spending lots of time with my hobbies/interests so I don’t go down the ‘overthinking rabbit hole”.
I love your home and all your decorating tips and ideas!

  3. I enjoyed the elements you highlighted and the examples shared from your home decor. I have also been admiring the framed photograph of the farm, barn and field hanging above your caned end table. I am wondering if you took the photograph? It’s very lovely.

  4. I love all these photos of your decor and cozy apartment. You have such a knack for creating beautiful arrangements and bringing color to a room.

  5. Brenda, I love your sofa. Are you willing to share the manufacture.
    Thanks

  6. I love your home, it is everything you say it is. I have always been a minimalist and I can’t seem to change. I love the idea of the sound machines. It is not very often that I can’t sleep but would love one anyway.

  7. I agree about the use of lamps in the home, especially when fall descends upon us. I really like the lamp with the glass base by your CD player.

    1. Got that lamp from Tuesday Morning, one of my favorite haunts. Paid $21 for lamp and shade.

  8. Thanks for the links you provide.
    I followed one today😊
I just used the red Casaware I ordered after your recommendation, and I also just gifted my daughter with the set.
I like it that you research for me, as well as entertaining me with your blog.
Thanks for sharing your life with us.

  9. Your home is so serene, full of interest yet not busy. (Except for Ivy, on occasion- lol!)
The affiliate links are fine with me, they are unobtrusive – not big ads with photos – just highlighted titles. And easy to skip or fun to check out.

  10. Hello Brenda. Happy Wednesday. Hope you heard good news on your offer for the new place. I believe if you decorate your place with no rules or trends just what you love you will always love where you live. Our homes are our sanctuary so it should reflect you and what brings you happiness and peace. Have a great rest of the week.

  11. I’m grateful for the links, they have helped me to look at and order many things that you recommend Brenda!

  12. You just described why your home is so peaceful despite having interesting things to look at in every room. After we built our home, a decorator advised me the goal was to not have every room “match,” but rather to “flow.” My education as an art teacher stressed the importance of a principle of design: repetition….moving colors from place to place in a piece to achieve a sense of balance. I’ve noticed your punches of white throughout your space which supplies another principle: unity. And you have a bonus “unifier” that moves from room to room as needed: IVY! 🙂

  13. Your home is always so pretty….. I love the colors ! Reminds me of cottage / bungalow living !!!

  14. It used to be every morning: Let’s see how Brenda is doing, her health, her patio, her pets. Now it has become: I wonder how many affiliate links she managed to put in this time. Nine today, the winner so far!

    1. This comment is rude. No one makes you click on any link, you can scroll past. And if you have read Brenda’s blog for any length of time you know this is a source of income for her. There is no need to be so petty. Bless your heart and have a nice day.

    2. I’m sorry if you don’t like the affiliate links. My blog income is way down for some reason and I’m trying to be able to afford to buy a home. You can always just ignore them.

      1. Your fine design and photography outweigh any aggravation from the links. And I appreciate your need for income, especially as you are trying to make your living situation more secure and stable. I can live with it. I hope your offer is accepted.

    3. Maybe you didn’t mean it to come across so harshly, but I don’t believe ad links is the thing bothering you to have posted such a comment. I will offer a prayer to lesson whatever is the real reason that is bothering you. No need to try to throw shade on another woman. The world has enough of that. As women, we should only lift each other up more.

    4. That was really rude to say! The links really aren’t bothersome at all, and they pertain to things she’s talking about. They are so much nicer than the pop up ads. Please try to be nicer next time. Brenda doesn’t deserve that. She tries really hard to bring us interesting and thoughtful content everyday.

    5. There is earnest effort behind creating content for readers to appreciate. It is reasonable that bloggers be compensated for their work product and links are available for any who have interest and as noted, can simply be skipped for any who do not. Consider that we purchase books and magazines for our recreation, and this site offers articles of interest at no cost to us.

    6. Ina – really??? Was your incredibly rude comment necessary??? If you don’t like what’s happening here then please move along. This is a source of income for Brenda! Sheesh!!!!!
