There is a four month old kitten currently in hiding mode in my apartment.
Yesterday morning a cat rescuer I’d been in communication with brought the kitten to my door. She came in and we visited a few hours with masks on in my living room.
These are the photos that were sent to me.
The kitten eventually came out of the crate and looked around. Then promptly hid underneath my bed.
When we finally found the kitten, she and Ivy were both under the bed. Ivy is very curious, but doesn’t seem to know quite what to do.
During the night I saw Ivy laying on the floor staring at the couch, about 4 feet away from it. I think now the kitten is under there.
But I read just to leave her alone until she feels more comfortable and comes out on her own.
This kitten was found with her brother by the woman who rescued them and adopts them out to good homes. She and I are close in age and, as fellow animal lovers, I can tell we’ll be friends.
She told me the kitten is very shy. So I’ll just wait until she wants to come out. I’m not going anywhere. I can be patient.
Apparently she looks much like a “Flame Point” Siamese cat, as does her brother, I was told. I’d never heard of that but Googled it.
It doesn’t matter to me. I just wanted a rescue cat.
I hope she comes out soon. Whenever she does, I’ll be here waiting for her.
