I love to sit and web surf and see what I can find. So today I thought I’d share six of the DIYs I found this week that impressed me. Each project has a link to the project/DIYer.

Isn’t this just the cutest little kitchen organizer? And it looks so easy to create. You can find the tutorial for this at Homeroad.

I came across this and thought: how smart! This is a budget-friendly way to create our own spice storage. Jars are cheap! Love this by Redhead Can Decorate.

This blogger always comes up with neat ideas. Just look at this magazine rack turned into file storage by Sadie Seasongoods. She uses hers for stencil storage. Perfect for a DIYer!

I won’t lie. This DIY project is labor intensive for sure. But I thought some of you might be interested in covering tired old floors. This project uses stencils by Cutting Edge Stencils.

From a labor intensive project, now I am showing you a fairly easy project. Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage painted her front door (the inside) aqua. Paint, as we all know, is a cheap fix. And look how lovely this door is; such a bright spot in her living room.

After the disastrous taking down of the removable wallpaper behind my couch, I won’t be wallpapering walls any time soon. But I just adore this idea of wallpapering a trash can from Pillar Box Blue.

  1. All great ideas, Brenda. They all look quite doable except…that gorgeous stenciled floor! I could imagine doing a much smaller kitchen floor, but that one looks pretty large. I am curious as to what products–paint, etc.–was used so I ‘ll probably go to the site and read about it.

That little galvanized organizer is really cute. I wonder if the little round feet were added to it by the DIYer. I guess I’ll have to go to that site, too, and see!

Hope you are feeling well and the pups are, too!

  2. I once had a big all-white refrigerator in a gold and chocolate brown kitchen. It was a great frig with no problems (lasted over 25 years!! with no service calls) but it stuck out like a sore thumb. So I wallpapered it — and it came out great and lasted for quite a few years. Plus it was a great conversation piece.

  3. What great ideas. Oh I love that kitchen floor too but after about doing one or two of those stencils I would have had enough. I give them credit for their hard work it looks fabulous.
Love the vintage magazine rack re loved for files too. Great ideas thanks for sharing Brenda.
    Happy Sunday.
    Hugs,
    Kris

  4. Love all of these ideas especially the magazine rack and painting the inside of the front door!
I would never have thought of that but it looks great.
