My mission is to help other women live a simple but rewarding life. This can be manifested through decorating your home or garden. And out of necessity and a need for simplicity, I focus on doing these things on a budget.
Many women think of living alone as being lonely. But they’re actually two very different things. I have been married and felt lonely. But I don’t feel lonely living alone with pets. I feel peace and contentment.
My love for writing began at an early age. Photography is my second passion. Both of which makes up Cozy Little House, the site I created in April 2009.
Unfortunately through a technical mishap, I lost all my posts from 2009-2013. But I started it up again in 2013 and merely continued. I wasn’t going to let losing four years of posts stop me.
I love to read and I write book reviews for authors and publishers.
Due to being on the high end of the autism spectrum, I enjoy lots of solitude. I have always been a homebody, and perhaps this is why. However I don’t feel that a house is truly a home without a pet in it. Charlie, my Yorkie, is my constant sidekick.
These days I live in a patio apartment, which is perfect for my needs. I enjoy decorating and taking care of my jungle of a patio, which is filled with plants, herbs, vines and flowers in containers. Oh, and garden art.
Many of my blog posts are written in essay style and labeled Reflections/Life.
I have a degree in Professional Writing from the University of Oklahoma School of Journalism. And I currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
