Amazon Prime Video Shows
For those of you who already pay for Amazon Prime, I hope you’re taking advantage of all the wonderful Amazon Prime Video shows and movies available to you.
I’m not one to pay for something and not use all it has to offer.
Free To Me Shows That Come With The Amazon Prime Membership:
To find free to me shows that come with my Amazon Prime membership, I look at the top where it says Free To Me and select from that menu.
I have watched many of the Amazon original series and movies and enjoyed them.
Below is a list of just some of the Prime shows I’ve watched free with Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime Video Shows I’ve Watched & Enjoyed:
- Bosch (series)
- Goliath (series)
- Little Fires Everywhere (series)
- Jack Ryan (series)
- The Goldfinch (movie)
- Unhinged (movie)
- The Fall (series)
- Line Of Duty (series)
- Prey (series)
- The Bridge (series)
- DCI Banks (series)
Not All Seasons Of Every Show Will Be On Prime:
Some of the shows you watch on Prime don’t include all the seasons/episodes. So sometimes I sign up for one of the other streaming channels for the free period some will allow me and watch the other seasons.
Then I’ll cancel before my free period is up and not have to pay anything.
“Unforgotten” is one example. It is a wonderful series, but you can’t get all of the seasons on Prime. So you’ll have to figure out a way to watch the rest.
I truly enjoyed “Goliath” starring Billy Bob Thornton, which ran from 2016-2021.
And I also watched “Little Fires Everywhere”. Reese Witherspoon was superb as the spoiled suburban housewife and mom.
I watched author Tom Clancy’s “Jack Ryan”. It is one of Amazon’s most-watched TV series.
I know there are many more I’ve watched and can’t remember for this post. Below are some of the shows on my radar that I may watch later.
I’d Like To Watch:
- Blackbird
- Outer Range
- Ray Donovan
- Reacher
- The Underground Railroad
I’d like to watch “Outer Range” and “Reacher”, shows that debuted in 2022.
And I’d also like to watch “The Underground Railroad.” “The Underground Railroad” is a 10-episode limited series about two runaway slaves as they traverse the American South via a connection of literally hidden railroads.
I am still watching “The Affair” on Prime Video. It will take me a while to finish that one.
Do you recall any Amazon Prime Video shows you watched and enjoyed and wish to share with us?
To add to the list of great shows you’ve already listed, Vera is one of my favorites. It’s on Acorn/BritBox. Kim’s Convenience is about a Korean family trying to assimilate into life in Toronto. I love the father character.
I’ve watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Loved seasons 1 & 2 but very disappointed in season 3.
I enjoyed Ray Donovan. Just FYI, it is very violent.
I am currently watching and really like the British series Hustle about a group of con artists.
Is it on Prime or one of the British channels like BritBox or Acorn?
It’s on Prime
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not much of a TV watcher. We do have Amazon Prime but I rarely watch anything on it. We did watch the entire Marvelous Mrs. Maisel series over time and really enjoyed it. I have several movies on my Amazon Prime watchlist…The Lady in the Van, The Tender Bar, Mass, Sideways, Miss You Already. We’ll see if I get to them in the next year or so. 😉
I sometimes watch a movie in the afternoon because my ankle is in too much pain to garden.
My Amazon prime video is showing all 4 seasons of Unforgotten is available….I think I originally watched it on PBS channel…I make a contribution to our local station that sponsors pbs, so I can watch shows they offer…I’m watching new series of Call the Midwife now…
Shows I’ve watched on prime video
Rose and Maloney
Victoria…period era
The Paradise ….period era
Grantchester
The Durrells in Corfu…I truly adored this show
I like Goliath & The Affair that you’ve watched..
I don’t have Amazon Prime, but if you get Peacock I highly recommend “Dr. Death”. It’s a six episode series and I loved it!
Thanks. I’ll check it out. Not sure if I have Peacock or not.
I love Amazon Prime too as am a member. I love the free shipping. and all the wonderful movies and Amazon movies and series. I’ve watched almost all the ones you’ve listed, except a couple. I started on Reacher.. is good but haven’t gone back to it yet… and LOVE the Bosch series and looking forward to the spin-off.. also The Fall.. wow was that ever good. She is so great and would love to see her in more like that! I see alot have listed things I haven’t watched, so will add them to my ever growing list! Marilyn
And I will add the ones you all mention to my list.
We have the same tastes in Amazon Prime series! We’ve read all of the Bosch books and enjoyed the Amazon Bosch series and DCI series. I just took a picture of ones you’ve liked so I can add them to our watch list! Thanks.
I love adding to my watchlist.
Not a series but a movie,”Swing Vote” Andy Garcia(hottie) is a newly appointed Supreme Court judge, and it’s about overturning Roe v Wade, very well done!
Haven’t heard of that. Yes, Andy Garcia is a hottie!
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is very funny and clever. Great actors, great dialogue and the set designer and costume designer should win awards (if they haven’t already). I wish that I was as witty as Mrs. Maisel (without the potty mouth). I wish that I had her and her mother’s wardrobe and that I lived in her apartment and that Susie (her manager) was my buddy. I also wish that I could vacation like she does at the Steiner Resort. Are there even places like that still in existence?
This series, I noticed, is listed in many top 10 Amazon Prime articles.
It’s not a series, but there’s a great movie that’s available through Amazon Prime (I’m not a member). It’s called Maudie, and it’s very loosely based upon the life of folk artist Maude Lewis. I finally bought it because I’ve rented it so many times.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Marvelous Mrs Maisel is terrific. There is a lot of swearing but it’s so clever and entertaining. Season two is stellar.
Swearing doesn’t bother me much.
Thanks for your list, I’m going to check some of them out. I enjoyed Reacher recently and I’d like to see Outer Range. Some other ones I’ve liked were Billions, The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (movie…cats!), The Collection, Good Girls Revolt, Sound of Metal, Portrait Artist of the Year, The Courier (movie).
I will check out some of these shows you mentioned that I haven’t watched.
Goliath was a great series. And The Fall with Gillian Anderson was wonderful. She is a terrific actress and so sultry. There are so many shows available it is impossible to keep up.
She is a great actress. And the bad boy wasn’t hard on the eyes!
I try to just watch movies on prime, because of exactly what you mentioned. I don’t want to get invested in something and then I can’t watch the whole series. That is just upsetting, so I try to stick to just movies. Between Amazon Prime and Netflix, I have plenty to keep me entertained. I do listen to Amazon Prime free music, but I have yet to take advantage of their free books. Usually I use the public library’s free digital borrows if I want to read something.
There are many, many things to watch. I haven’t watched a show with commercials in years.
