Does anyone recognize this bird? It was out in the tree yesterday afternoon. I don't think I've ever seen it before. At least birds don't keep you up at night. What keeps me up at night is Charlie. He wants out because the possum is out there. What is it with this possum? If it doesn't go away soon I'll have to name it. Then this morning I found Charlie trying to pick up a dead bird. There's something to be said for a dog with no teeth. And naturally it was in the corner by the ... Read More about Does Anyone Recognize This Bird?
Remember I told you that they didn't have much going on in the Rose Garden? Well it was probably because they are in the midst of building a Rose Garden Pavillion in memory of the famous designer Charles Faudree. Faudree was best known as an expert in French Country decor. The opossum left sometime around noon yesterday I think. Charlie drove me crazy all day wanting to go out there, where, I suppose, he could still pick up the scent. Charlie would never be a match for a opossum, so I hope they don't meet up. I'm sure the opossum has teeth. And poor Charlie, nary a one. Sirens sounded again last night. Everything was fine here. Rained for a short time. I didn't see anything online about bad weather. This morning as I sat here drinking my cup of coffee, I looked ... Read More about More Rain, More Blooms
This morning I went outside to look at my patio garden, camera strap around my neck, and see if there were any birds around. I haven't been able to get any good bird photographs in weeks. I have my zoom lens activated and am panning the tree, when this is what I see in my viewfinder. An opossum! Needless to say, I was shocked and I'm very glad the camera strap was around my neck, because I fear I might have dropped it. I looked out the front and saw Nathan and told him to come ...
