I wanted to show you my new lap desk that has really helped me when working on this laptop in my recliner.
The lap desk I’d been using forever is one I brought with me from Texas. I used it every single day when working on this blog.
But it was big, bulky, and kind of heavy. It was awkward to transfer from my little side table to my lap.
So finally I began looking at lap desks on Amazon and found this one. Below are some of the uses you can get out of this lap desk.
Why I I Love My New Lap Desk:
I ordered this particular one because it was height adjustable. That really matters when you’re working on a laptop for very long to keep your neck from aching.
It has an ergonomic design, which corrects your sitting posture to relieve cervical and back fatigue. (Important!)
I can look at magazines or read a book or work on this blog in my recliner with no more of the problems I had before.
To me, the absolute best feature is the wrist rest pad that is attached to the lap desk.
I don’t know how many different wrist pads I’ve purchased.
One came with little glue dots to hold it in place. But after about a week, those no longer worked. So I just had to deal with it sliding around all the time.
And what a pain that was!
So now I sit in my new Zero Gravity chair with my laptop. And in my lap I have this absolutely wonderful way to work without fatigue in these old painful joints of mine.

I just looked and Amazon has raised the price on my wood-toned lap desk from what I paid a few weeks ago. Because I paid under $40 for my wood lap desk. I find that prices change on Amazon items all the time.

I use my laptop on my actual lap. I do have to cross my legs to make the keyboard high enough to use, even when I put my feet up on the coffee table.

I have used a heavy lap top desk for years so I keep it right next to my side of the couch propped between the couch and an end table when not in use. I like yours better so I think I need to treat myself to this one! They are very handy to use so I would be lost without one. Thanks for the information.

Today has indeed been better. This lap desk is much lighter than my old one, which helps a great deal.

Actually when I ordered my lap desk, I didn’t even notice the black one. But when I finally did, I saw that it was cheaper. I might have ordered it otherwise.
My daughter has one similar but not adjustable. She loves it. I never thought about getting one but when you said for reading magazines that spurred my interest! I’m glad you are enjoying it.
Last night we watched Inside Man on Netflix with Stanley Tucci and David Tennant. It’s a British TV series but very good. Tucci is in prison for murdering his wife and he used to be a professor of criminology. I won’t go further but just to say it was very good. I know you enjoy murder mysteries and stories as do I. After reporting in court
for so many years and being married
to a detective it is just in my blood!! So check it out!
I saw that that show was out and will probably watch it. I’m currently watching Saving Grace, which is about a detective in Oklahoma.
