July 4th Decorating & Amazon Finds

I’ve started seeing July 4th decor on blogs and Pinterest. The holiday is next month. I thought I’d share some of my favorite decorating ideas with you from the homes of other bloggers.

This living room all decorated for the 4th of July was created by Bless This Nest.

Below is a 4th of July tablescape created by Holly J. This woman sure knows how to entertain and decorate her home.

This vintage coca-cola crate with milk glass vases and American flags was created by Beauty For Ashes. Simple but striking July 4th decor.

Tator Tots & Jello showed how to create a 4th of July table, which looks to me to be out on the porch. Maybe, maybe not.

After seeing all the 4th of July ideas from blogs, I then clicked over to Amazon.com to see what pretties I could find that would work as patriotic decor.

First I looked at the red, white and blue decor, like the table runner below. Seeing the monotony of the three colors together got a little tedious. So I expanded my search and began looking at decor that was red, white or blue.

There’s lots of ways to mix and match individual colors when you purchase decor or dinnerware in one solid color.

Not to mention the fact that you could use any of the red, white, and blue decor any time of the year. Which saves you money in the long run.

Here Are Some Of My Favorite Finds:

I have ordered the red and white dishes.

I’ve looked at this cute and whimsical set of dishes for several years, but never followed through with purchasing them.

The red and white 16 piece dinnerware set will be rotating with other red and white dishes in my open kitchen cabinets.

  5. Lovely! I am a big fan of the Dollar Tree. I know it is $1.25 now and that’s still ok. Luckily last month I was lucky when I happened upon their one time this summer Coastal collection. I loved their sand dollars and starfish, 3 to a pack! I got a plant tin with a crab etched on it and a rectangular shell tray. All the plates were gone. Didn’t discouraged me, I had a great time adding the decor to my older treasures! I am planning a plant swap with in our neighborhood. There are 36 homes and neighbors have offered up extra produce or plants in the past! Have a great day everyone!

      1. Decorate with those fun dishes. We all need inspiration to keep decorating no matter how small or how large our home is on the 4th. Your new home is so lovely. You have just enough color to bring joy to anyone who visits. Your home never seems cluttered, over decorated or gaudy. You have so much style.

        1. The dishes from Amazon are running late, according to Amazon. But yes, I do plan to decorate with them for the 4th!

  7. I am not surprised the red and white dishes are coming to your home. Those look like you! And I have always loved the other dishes you have. I keep red, white and blue items on my mantle from Memorial Day to 4th of July, adding in and taking other things out, like I need to add my old ceramic Liberty Bell now and remove small flags after flag day. I also have a picture book I love to add to my mantle of Betsey Ross sewing the flag.

    1. I really don’t have much blue decor, so I’m scrambling around in the closets to see what I do have. I have ordered a couple of patriotic things from Etsy.

  8. I have this set of red and white dishes. Just love them!! I’ll be waiting to see them among your cute kitchen decor.

    1. Oh, you do! I’ve started to order them probably half a dozen times, then backed out. I think they’ll be fun to mix and match in my red and white open kitchen cabinet.
