My internet was spotty all day yesterday. This morning it was out completely here as cable workers said they were updating it.
So, that’s why I’m so behind today.
I just finished reading “Memorial Drive”, a moving memoir by Natasha Tretheway.
Memorial Drive Summary:
At age nineteen, Natasha Trethewey had her world turned upside down when her former stepfather shot and killed her mother.

In a competitive situation, Sony Pictures Television has optioned Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Natasha Trethewey’s bestselling book Memorial Drive: A Daughter’s Memoir. It is in development as a drama series. A search for a writer is underway.
The book was published by Ecco/HarperCollins in July. The memoir is the moving, intimate story of a poet coming into her own in the wake of a tragedy.
The memoir was an instant New York Time bestseller. It also was named a New York Times 2020 Notable Book, As well as being named among the Ten Best Books of 2020 by both Time and The Washington Post.
It is also a finalist for the 2021 Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction. It is an NPR and Shelf Awareness Best Book of the Year.

I hope your internet access stays fixed. When I was without mine for several days some months ago it was awful – like many others, I’ve come to depend on it so much as my primary source of contact, entertainment and 4-5 hours a day of news reading. Commercial television viewing was not satisfactory (no cable and wasn’t going to sign up for it). Hope you are feeling better and whatever it was that was ailing you.
