1. I almost missed the part about Kendra selling her flip house… I’m not surprised it sold so fast because she did a beautiful job. One thing I know about pets is that they are quick to forgive and forget. The broken glass probably startled you and you reacted as any one of us would. I am holding hope in my heart for our country and prayers in my heart for those families affected by covid.

  2. We are lighting a candle for those who have passed and their families. So so sad for all of them, for the healthcare workers and our front line heroes. Saying our prayers for all.

  3. Congratulations to Kendra on so quick a sale. That’s fantastic but then so was her renovation of that house. Your daughter certainly has a gift at this. Now she’ll be on to her next property I’m sure. I know you’re proud of her as well you should be. She’s talented and hard working too.

  4. I’m not sure whose idea it was to sponsor the beautiful memorial lighting ceremony, but I’ll boldly say here that I’m glad we’re less than 24 hours away from having someone with a soul back in the While House.

    1. I’m with you one hundred percent. I’m hoping America gets back to work caring for people over money, greed and power.

  5. Your houseplants are lovely. I enjoy raising plants, however, they quickly outgrow my space. How do you solve this problem? Do you discard them when they become too large for your space?

    1. Well, some bite the dust, unfortunately. I haven’t had any that became too large for my apartment. But I tend to buy plants that aren’t supposed to be that big.

  6. I love animals as much as anyone. But like children they need to be taught. I taught my cats from early age certain places were not their resting places. I am not a fan of cats being on eating tables or counters. Your pets are lucky to have you and very comfy places to rest. I don’t this will be posted. Never is any I have written.

    1. If your comments were not posted, it wasn’t on purpose. Sometimes if someone has not commented in a while, WordPress automatically thinks it might be spam. I see your comment today and obviously I okayed it.

  7. Oh my goodness I missed the tidbit about Kendra selling the flip house – wonderful news!

  8. I bet the noise of the bottle shattering into pieces also scared Ivy. You’ve made peace with each other and the remaining bottles have been moved; everything is back to normal.
Thank you for sharing the information about the lighting ceremony.
    Enjoy your day!

  9. Good to hear Kendra sold the flip house! I’m not surprised she sold it so fast, it is beautiful! Our first reaction when something we cherish gets broken is to be visibly upset and to raise our voice, so don’t feel too bad for scolding Ivy!

    1. Not only that. I was scared the babies were going to walk on the shattered pieces before I could get it all cleaned up.

  10. What good news that your daughter sold the flip house so quickly. But then, she does such an incredible job. She’s as good if not better than a lot of the shows I watch on HGTV, I swear!

I found this information online about the candle lighting ceremony in Washington D.C. later today to honor and remember the more than 400,000 Americans who have died from COVID-19. It was suggested that if individuals wish to join the memorial, they can put a lit candle in their window (I use battery-operated for safety). And nationwide, churches and temples will ring bells simultaneously at 5:30 ET/ 2:30 PT.

Don’t feel too guilty about yelling at Ivy. She did something wrong and she had to be told that she did. I don’t think trying to give her a time out and sitting her down calmly and explaining things to her would work. She recognized that you had quickly forgiven her and all is well. But perhaps she will think twice before she jumps the next time because she wouldn’t want to be scolded again.

    1. Well I moved the remaining two blue bottles. And thank you for the information about the candles.
