  1. Sorry about your back problems, Brenda. Back pain can be so very debilitating. I know from experience. Mine is pretty well under control now since my osteopathic doctor diagnosed mild scoliosis and gave me some stretches to do.

Ivy’s antics in the bathtub and with the swirly toys are cute. Especially the washing her face and head under the tub faucet. How funny. Our male cat, Ninja, loves to drink out of the tub faucet but so far hasn’t washed his paws or face in the water. Mentioning your Granny saying “What a sight” made me think of my own Grandma who used to say that something was “a sight for sore eyes!” Funny those old sayings. I often think I should make a list of all the ones I remember being used in my family.

Take care of your back, Brenda. Don’t rush anything.

  2. That’s so great to hear that Ivy is playing fetch again! I always love her little updates. I sure hope your back feels better soon.

  3. I hope you can find a good chiropractor!! It is a horrid pain to have back pain…or any pain. Seems old age brings an awful lot of pain. Few days there are, that we are painfree at our house.

  4. I am sorry about your back and hope you are doing better. I am not a health professional but the cause may be a muscle spasm, generally due to either a muscle strain or dehydration. You have been getting out decorations etc and may not realize how much strain your back endured. I have had a spasm only twice, once my lower back and once my neck, and both times I could not move that part of my body at all. The lower back was from overdoing it on a property we were clearing and the neck was caused by a new medication that depleted my potassium levels. They were years apart. The doctor’s office told me to stay very hydrated and be as still as possible for a day or two. Both times the spasm was gone after a day or so. I always keep electrolyes on hand after that neck spasm. I like Gatorade Zero w no sugar. Ivy is adorable and you should always crow about her!

  5. A chiropractor is my go to when my back is bad…they have saved me many times…feel better soon💕

  6. Slow down, Listen to Greg. I am so sorry to hear about your back. Please take it easy, everything will get done in its time. Sending big hugs from Wisconsin.

  7. What a smart cat little Ivy is! Praying your back is better very soon !

  8. My cats would panic being anywhere near dripping water! Ivy is an innovative little smartie!
I’ve woken to excruciating back pain in the past. So extreme that I was nauseous and couldn’t even walk. Only lying flat on my back for two days, pumped with Tylenol eased it away. Yours isn’t as serious, but I still feel badly about it because you want to see your home decorated. Best wishes for quick healing. Let us know!

  9. That Ivy! She’s one smart cookie! And she runs a tight ship, too!
I surely hope your pain goes away soon. I wonder if something like KT tape would help?

  10. Your Ivy is such a joy! Love her bathing skills!
And I am sorry to hear that your back is hurting – that’s difficult to say the least. When I read about how you were getting out your Christmas ornaments and decorations, I thought you were doing so well. Take a good rest, think about how you will proceed on the decorating when you are feeling better.
Gentle hugs for you, pets for your kitty girl.

  11. Never a dull moment when there’s a cat in the house! Ivy cracks me up!
Your body is needing a break. When we’re excited about doing something we naturally want to ‘git her done’. Take a day to rest a bit.
Yesterday I was rushing around my home and took a major tumble. Unable to stop the momentum I ended up on the tile floor on my back. All I could do was lay there in tears because I feared I’d broken something. I managed to get up, took some pain medication because I knew something would definitely start hurting. Thankfully only my pride was hurt but I am sore. I needed to slow down for a bit.
Enjoy your day and contemplate small tasks!
