This is just an easy vignette created with a garland of faux leaves and raffia pumpkins in a vintage box.
I don’t decorate for photos only and then move everything back into its normal place. I show you how I decorate in real time. What you see is how I live.
The dining space is fairly narrow, so the photos I take in here are typically on an angle.
This vignette was fast and so, so simple.
I like the texture and patina of the old vintage box. I’ve used this box and several others in seasonal and holiday decorating many times before.
Vintage boxes are fantastic vessels to use for a base.
Since this boho quilt is so bright and colorful, I wanted a more neutral vignette for my cheap little kitchen table ($10 from a garage sale years ago).
I’ve been working on my Fall Decorating Pinterest board. I’ve added pins and deleted others and really worked it over thoroughly.
I think I’ve found some of the best fall decor on Pinterest to share with you.
You can see it here.
Happy fall decorating! A little or a lot. Whatever works for you.
Very pretty, Brenda. I like simple vignettes over fussy. I will go over and take a look at your fall Pinterest board.
What a great Pinterest board you have for fall…thanks for sharing it Brenda. I pinned a few of your ideas and think this holiday weekend I’ll dig out the few pillow covers, wreaths, feathers and other items in storage, and decide where to place them to look cosy. Your decorating posts always inspire me.
I had totally forgotten about your Pinterest page until just now. I’m going through it again to see if I missed anything. I’m sure there are some new things I’ve missed too.
Love the pinterest board. I just briefly looked at it but I’m going back later to have a better look!
Hi. I really enjoyed the pinterest board. In my area, central Kentucky, September is a month of greens, yellows and purples. There are so many different yellow and purple wildflowers blooming now, and the greens of trees and shrubs have taken on a yellowish tinge as they head toward the browns and oranges of October. Your current fall vignettes have a lighter color palette that seems to fit in with September in my area.
The kitchen table was a very nice find!! I love some of my thrift shop “finds” the very best of all!!
My favorite time of year to decorate with oranges and browns so I appreciate all your ideas now and through the years you have shared. And without having to run out to the store most times. I did buy some pumpkin lights from the dollar store though this year to add some twilight to my mantle for the evenings.
Love the raffia pumpkins!
Oh my gosh, just went to your Pinterest board and that is fabulous. I have to go back later to take it all in. Now for just a little rain and falling leaves. We are in for a hot hot weekend so I’d love to see some rain here in So Cal.
I am continuing to look for pretty fall pins and will keep adding them to the board.
Thank you so much for the beautiful Pinterest board. It brought such delight to my eyes and joy to my heart. Thank you too for such a wonderful blog. I have read for years, and always with appreciation.
I love your fall idea pin board. Wow girl you found a wonderful array of fall decor. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
