I can’t imagine life without this little man, who will turn one in a few weeks.

The world is a wondrous place for him. So many new things to learn. So many things to explore. Places to go. People to see.

Crawling, walking, stumbling, plopping, grinning, banging, clapping, waving, blowing kisses.

Then there’s his loyal sidekick, Gizmo, who sits mutely and watches it all. Snatching a baby cookie if he times things just right.

My daughter and I went to lunch. Had a good time. Ate Chinese, laughed. The most important part of all? We were together.

And all was right with the world.

  13. That's wonderful that you got to spend time together with your daughter, grandson and granddog! Of course, my heart melts for Gizmo since he is a Boston Terrier. I kind of embarrass myself whenever I run into another Boston around here. I feel such a kindred connection to that breed and just want to bring them all home with me. I want to have a Boston dog party! LOL!
