Isn’t this gardenia beautiful? There are quite a few flowers blooming now on this plant. But they don’t last long. After about a day they wither and turn brown.
I bought a new storm door at Lowes. It isn’t as pretty as the one I had, but to exactly replace the one I had I would have had to order it and wait another two weeks.
They were able to fit it into my Pathfinder, but I couldn’t see out the rear view mirror. So I stayed in one lane and was careful.
This one is basically the same but without the pretty scrolling around the outer parts of the glass. So a plain but sturdy storm door.
I don’t know when I’ll be able to get this old door frame off and have the new door put on.
Thursday I had my first acupuncture session. I filled out paperwork much like you’d fill out in any doctor’s office about yourself.
I had what is called a Jin Shin treatment. You can Google this and read about it, which is what I’ve been doing to learn more about it.
You lie on your back with your clothes on and shoes off.
He began by “listening” to the energy pulses in my wrist, and then chose a “flow” appropriate for my particular energy rhythm.
He worked on the front of my body, then on the back. I could feel slight pressure from the needles.
The he massaged my feet and back and shoulders.
In the background there was soft music playing and the environment was very peaceful.
When I left, I felt mild discomfort for about an hour or so. Then I felt this sense of total well being. I was in a very restful state the remainder of the day.
I slept deeply Thursday night and woke up rested.
He asked me if I wanted to make another appointment and I said yes. My next appointment is next Wednesday morning. Each session is 90 minutes and the cost is $65.
Upon awakening yesterday morning I felt no pain or stiffness. Normally I am a bit stiff before I stretch on a yoga mat and have been up and around for awhile.
I am open to this way of healing. I’ll keep you updated on my progress.
