Today I’m showing more fall decor I’ve brought out of storage to display on the blue secretary desk.
I bought gourds at the grocery store to add to the mix. And I also purchased dried grasses and feather plumes to add to my big white pitcher.
Why I Love Decorating For Fall:
I love decorating for fall because it’s one of my very favorite seasons.
It’s when the tree leaves are changing colors and gradually beginning to fall to the ground. And when the air begins to cool from the intense heat of summer.
I didn’t really decorate for fall last year, as I was still recovering from ankle surgery. So I did buy some new fall decor this year.
Michaels had their fall florals on sale for 50-60 percent off. I picked up some faux pumpkins and painted a few of them. You’ll see that later.
Some of the gourds are stacked together for a more whimsical look.
Glass Canister Of Beans & Peas DIY:
I typically have sand and seashells in this clear glass canister. But I took them out, washed the glass really well, and then added three packages of beans and peas.
You can’t really see the bottom layer. They’re just a different shade than the beans on top.
This is so simple to do. Just empty the first package of dried beans/peas. Make sure it’s fairly level. Then dump the second package in. I used green peas. Then I used the last package of beans.
And sink a candle of your choice into the mixture.
It’s a nice handmade touch to use for fall decor.
Are you busy and buzzing with fall decor at your house? Once I finally got everything out and got myself going, I was on a roll.
The house is cluttered with things I’m moving so I can put fall on display. I have no idea where I’m going to put all this stuff while I have fall decor out.
