16 New Year’s Eve Charcuterie Board Ideas
Today I am showing you 16 New Year’s Eve charcuterie board ideas. From Mexican to Greek and cheese and wine to desserts. Oh, and breakfast!
A charcuterie board is a combination of foods/appetizers laid out on a wooden board or stone slab. It is pronounced shaar-KOO-tuh-ree, and it originated in France.
The term charcuterie comes from two French words: “chair” which means “flesh,” and “cuit” which means “cooked.”
You can create themed boards. Or you can use a little bit of everything for people to snack on while waiting for the clock to strike 12.
Charcuterie boards are the most easily shareable appetizer. If someone doesn’t like one item on the board, then there are typically many others to choose from!

I hope I have provided you with recipe ideas for your New Year’s Eve party.
They’ll all gorgeous and look very yummy. How creative and artistic everybody seems to be these days, even with food. I see them as a refreshed and larger version of what we used to call relish trays with side plates of hors d’oeuvres or one of those 3-tier pretty glass treat stands because the relish trays weren’t large enough to hold everything. Throw extra goodies on (meats, cheeses, crackers, cookies, fruit) and voila – you have a charcuterie board! I am very fond of gobbling up the goodies on old fashioned relish trays and hors d’oeuvres and will sound up to date at my neighbor’s New Years Eve party when I compliment their “charcuterie board.”
Thank you for this roundup! I saved several of these to my Pinterest “entertaining” board. Charcuterie boards are always a big hit.
I haven’t eaten yet today and now I am starving! Everything looks so yummy and I love learning the tips on things like how to make the salami rose. I’m sure many of us are eating leftovers today. Have a good day.
