I like to make holiday vignettes with my old vintage suitcase. I’ve used it for various vignettes over the years.
It seems perfect for Christmas time. I like the way it looks with varied sized small trees inside.
This is my black sideboard in my dining room. I decorated the top with a folded quilt and added Christmas decor on top.
At one end is a cheap painting I sprayed with blackboard spray paint to turn it into a blackboard. And I added the dough bowl chock full of red ornaments.
I didn’t plan on doing this, but yesterday evening I ended up changing everything on this old window. The glass pops out easily, so I had to be careful decorating the window panes.
I added free vintage photos found online with children from another time. And old Bingo cards.
In the sewing machine drawer, I put three candles I wrapped in various decorative scrapbook papers. I don’t think it would be prudent to light the candles for fear of fire. They’ll just sit there and look pretty.
So far, this is my coffee table centerpiece. I really haven’t added anything holiday-ish to it yet. But something may pop into my head before long.
Charlie Ross is in his bed. I ordered a couple of these dog beds from Walmart.com a few weeks ago. Charlie took right to it. Abi gets in one occasionally. He seems to feel very safe cuddled up in there next to my chair.
Okay, I’m hungry now. It’s time to finish up that casserole I made. I got a lot of mileage out of that one.
I will be looking up some more online, as this is that time of the year when bad weather lingers. And it’s so nice to have a salad and one other item provide a whole meal.
