Book Summary:
Gwen Proctor’s life becomes a nightmare when she discovers that her husband, Melvin, is a serial killer. When she closes her eyes, she sees him in her nightmares.
She won the battle to save her kids from her ex-husband, but she knows the war isn’t over. He broke out of prison, and she received a text that terrified her. Melvin has a league of psychotic accomplices who will do his bidding.
She knows that she and the children aren’t safe anywhere now.
Gwen thought they’d be safe at Stillhouse Lake, but she knows it’s now a trap. She leaves the kids in the protective custody of a well-armed neighbor. And with the help of Sam Cade, the brother of one of Melvin’s victims, they’re both going hunting.
She can’t trust anyone. Melvin will try to beat her with mind games, hoping to destroy her. And she knows that one of them is going to die.
