  1. I’m so sorry you’re in pain, and I’m worried about your daughter as well. I will keep you both in my prayers! So many of us are dealing with our own version of our own pain, and your wise and thoughtful advice is greatly appreciated. Glad you enjoyed lunch with your other daughter. Just another little something special to look forward to and to bring a little extra joy in your life. More Joy > Less Pain!

  2. Wow, Brenda…your situation sounds serious…hope you can find someone to evaluate what is going on!! And so sorry for your daughter…hope it turns out better than you think it might. My husband had a lot of issues with vertigo, Doc showed him how to roll on the bed a certain way, so that the crystals in his ears would set right again. It worked numerous times. He doesn’t seem to get that now…don’t know why it quit.
As to the insulin, we go to Walmart…they charge 1/3 the price we have paid elsewhere. Also, you may have to pay for your insulin, but the pharmacy has to sell it to you without prescription, by law, and we never even tell Walmart who we are…just what we need, and pay cash. Same for needles…because you can die without it, by law you do not need a prescription for either. It is cheapest for us to get ours at Walmart, WITHOUT insurance…I know that is weird, but it is true. I hope the technician knows this. We were fortunate that one of our docs is most honest and told us. I would surely go see my personal doc if such happened to us, as they may well be able to help a person get their meds after a theft.
Will say prayers for you and your daughter!! Life is so hard…but keep hope while you can.

  3. Brenda, Thank you for your blog. So many of us are going through medical problems and you words help ! We need the encouragement you send . Thank you so much ! 🤗

  4. Brenda, I will keep you and the At&T man in my prayers and your daughter too.
I am sorry that you are in pain. I agree with the other comments, talk to your doctor, there could be something else going on. You can never be too safe.
I am sure that you have tried this but I thought I would mention it: Epsom salt warm soaks for your feet or a epsom salt bath(I believe you don’t take them because of your ankle). Magnesium, is very good for pain and inflammation. Also have you tried Arnica rub for pain?
Hope you had a wonderful lunch with your daughter.
    Take care

  5. Brenda, by any chance have you been diagnosed with flat feet? Collapse of arches causes so many issues as I’ve found out. Foot, sciatica pelvic floor. Custom orthotics, not cheap are addressing these areas.

  6. I’m so sorry to hear your having such an awful time. Sure seems like there is something more going on. Need to go to your doctor and if your not happy with the answer, like there’s nothing we can do go get another opinion. I find you are way to young for all these issues.

  7. Brenda, I am so sorry that you’re not feeling well – I was so happy for you earlier this summer when you were active again, within limits. I am hopeful that you can return to that level. Yes, indeed, a visit with your physician with full acknowledgement of what’s going on is essential as I’m sure you know. We are all concerned about you. And now your daughter too! Holding you all and that sure includes your Ivy in our thoughts. You mentioned that Steve passed out and fell a couple of posts back. Hopefully he knows why that happened and is doing ok now.

  8. Sorry you are feeling rough. I have had some similar things happen in my life.. had horrible reactions to the medication they put me on..so went off it…due to positive blood test have to see rheumatologist but cannot get in until April..trying to stay positive …feel much better without the med…my daughter has fibromyalsia so wonder if that is what it is…hope your daughter will be ok…hope your pain lessens soon…do not always comment but love reading your post. May have to bake that cake in my pantry🥰💕

  9. Wow – the Moon flower blossom looks like it is being guarded by two tiny dragons! I hope the AT&T man called the Police and filled out a report of the theft of his medications out of his vehicle. I believe that at a minimum, he would have to establish that a theft took place and provide a copy of the police report in order to begin the process of getting his medications re-filled. A diabetic needs insulin, they can’t go without it. There has to be something that can be done other than showing up at an Emergency Room in diabetic shock. Brenda, if you haven’t already done so, I urge you to see your doctor or specialist and let them know what is REALLY going on with the pain you have been experiencing in your back and this new pain in your “good” ankle. My guess is that you downplay your pain and symptoms when you have seen your doctor/specialist in the past and don’t advocate strongly for yourself.
