Kendra’s New Flip House & Grocery Shopping
I’m just about finished with my indoor project. I’m waiting on one more thing to arrive and then I’ll take photos to show you what the project is.
Hopefully this will be tomorrow unless what I’m waiting for arrives too late today.
I went over to see the inside of Kendra’s new flip house yesterday. She is so animated when she’s starting a new house flip project.
It’s like watching a kid in a candy store as she walks me through the little house and explains what walls she’s knocking down and what she’s adding and what she’s taking away.
She will be adding about 400 additional square feet to this house. She ended up paying about $45,000 more for this house than she did the previous one in the same general area, so she needs to make up that difference and then make a profit.
She figures it may pay off by adding a new bedroom and bath. It is currently 2 bedroom, 1 bath.
She’s just had surgery a little over 2 weeks ago, so I hope she’s pacing herself. When I left she was using a crowbar to take up the living room carpet. Didn’t look like something she might want to be doing yet to me. But she’s 46 years old and mama don’t run things anymore.
There were no contractors there when I was there. I went in between contractors.
Even though the central air unit is only 2 years old, she might have to update it anyway because of the extra square footage she’s planning to add.
She added a video of her new flip on Facebook, but I’ve never added a video to a post and I couldn’t figure out how to do it at the moment. I will figure it out later. I’ve got to head to the grocery store for senior hour now.
Does anyone know what this flower is? I planted it but don’t remember what it is called.
I could definitely be wrong, but it kind of looks like Lime Basil to me.
Happy to hear that your daughter is doing well. I cannot wait to see her flip house and your projects. I love seeing before and afters!Have a wonderful day.
I looked it up on the plantsnap app and it said basil. If you crush a leaf you should recognize it if it is.
I love that purple flower.
My son will be age 48 in October. Always our babies no matter their age.
It looks like basil to me also ! Looking forward to seeing your project and the flip house!
Kendra loves projects just like her mama. I hope she doesn’t do too much too soon. Can’t wait to see your new project. xo Laura
That’s a beautiful plant but I’m not much good when it comes to identifying them; I can’t even remember the names of most of the perennials and annuals I’ve planted over the years. Your daughter is right when it comes to valuing a property, at least with what I’ve heard countless times on the home improvement/flipping programs I watch on HGTV and DIY 3/2 sell faster and for more than 2/1; also have a potentially higher resale value so many people will still want one even when downsizing – 1 bedroom can be used for an office or a den and the other can be used for guests.
I love seeing the creativity in remodeling/flipping houses. Looking forward to seeing your project soon as well as Kendras flip house!
That plant looks like Basil to me. Are the leaves strong smelling? I love Basil!
Looks like basil to me
Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. I bet the flip will be fabulous.
