  1. As I was reading your beautiful piece I could feel my entire body and mind relaxing. Thank you…..

  2. A lovely, lovely meditation piece, Brenda. Most of the things you mention are what make me happy, too. I might need a bit more human contact and interaction than you suggest, but not much more. Silence…so precious in our noisy, busy world. I would like a place like you describe to be able to go to whenever I felt I needed or wanted to. A hideaway of sorts, I guess. I might not even tell anyone where it was. Simplicity is the other aspect of what you describe that calls to me. Just the necessities and a few things of beauty to feed the soul, many from nature like you describe. Such a beautiful fantasy, isn’t it? Where can it be found in reality? So little wilderness left, you know?

  3. Beautiful! I was walking down that road with you and rocking on the porch beside you. Simple pleasures, indeed.

  4. I often imagine this kind of living too, Brenda. Just a simple cabin in the woods, no neighbors, some outdoor animals, a garden and my flowers. The only thing I would have to have is wi-fi. 😉

  5. So wonderful, my sentiments exactly! Like you read my mind.

  6. What a lovely post. I could imagine being there; just reading this transported me into that beautiful and serene woodland.

  7. What a beautiful post. I have read it three times to make sure I did not miss anything.

    Thank you.

  8. What a beautiful writing! You would be in good company with Thoreau, Brenda. Your contemplations act as an impetus to those of us who long for that simplicity in life. You are an inspiration. Thank you!

  9. So many wonderful things that people just take for granted. The peace and solitude would be wonderful.

  10. Something to be said for the simple life and enjoying the small things that come our way every day. Have a lovely Friday Brenda!
