My Favorite YouTube Video Channels
I thought I’d share some of my favorite YouTube video channel links with you.
A year ago I didn’t watch a lot of YouTube videos. But that has changed. When I was feeling pretty sick recently, I often didn’t feel like doing more than watching YouTube videos.
Below are various YouTube video channels that I like to keep up with.
1. XOMaCenna:
One of my very favorites is XO, MaCenna. This 35 year old woman and her longtime love, Romeo, bought a home in Los Angeles. They also bought and renovated an old cottage in Texas, near where her parents live.
They have the cutest little dog named Kinsley.
I watched MaCenna build all of her kitchen cabinets for the cottage in Texas. I think their were 42 cabinets in all.
This girl sets her mind to something and she tackles it. Thus her homes are beautiful. She also has a lovely garden in LA.
Now MaCenna is pregnant with their first child, due in June. You can find her videos here.
You can also find XOMcCenna on Instagram.
2. Lone Fox:
The man behind Lone Fox is Drew. He is restoring a 1929 Spanish home In LA. He and MaCenna are in fact friends.
Drew is quite the decorator and comes up with stunning ideas and DIYs. You can find Lone Fox here.
You can also find Lone Fox on Instagram.
3. White Cottage Company:
I also enjoy Mary’s videos at White Cottage Company.
She and her husband John have now also built two cottages they rent out located farther out on their property. I enjoyed watching her decorate the two cottages for Christmas guests.
Mary shows what she does with thrift store finds. She is also pretty good at building furniture. She enjoys homemaking, gardening, thrifting, and DIYs.
Mary also has an Etsy shop where she sells homemade candles, soaps, pillows, and other decor. Her husband is also involved with the Etsy shop and he makes wood products to sell.
You can also find White Cottage Company on Instagram.
4. Farmhouse On Boone:
Then there’s Farmhouse On Boone, where I watch Lisa cook for her husband and 8 children. From scratch!
It’s wonderful to watch her making bread and soups and simple foods for her large brood. She is a very down to earth young woman. Her blog and YouTube, etc. pay the bills for her entire family of 10.
Lisa has a very lulling voice, and I could probably listen to her talk for hours.
You can also read Lisa’s blog here at Farmhouse On Boone.
You can also find Farmhouse on Boone on Instagram.
5. 27 Fox Place:
Recently I began watching 27 Fox Place. Randi and her husband live in southern California with their two dogs.
Her channel is dedicated to providing motivational content for cleaning, organizing, decluttering, decorating, and more.
Randi whips around her house and gets so much done it kind of makes your head spin!
6. DIY Wife:
I also enjoy watching DIY Wife. This husband and wife team (actually, it’s mostly the wife) can build almost anything.
They began fixing up their double wide mobile home. Then they sold it and branched out and learned all kinds of other DIY skills.
7. Johanna’s Dream Home:
I also enjoy watching Johanna’s Dream Home.
Her channel is about house restoring and decorating, gardening, cooking, and growing her own food. You’ll see crafting and beautiful gardens that Johanna creates.
Now you can watch a DIY build of her fairytale greenhouse. This fairytale greenhouse will be a nice addition to her cottage garden and renovation journey.
Here is another video I found the other day that was fun to watch. It’s how one woman converted an old garage into her home.
All of this wonderful and useful entertainment is free of charge as long as you have access to the internet.
You would love “what Vivi did next” on YouTube. She gardens, reads, decorated on a budget and gives frugal tips and great easy recipes ( healthy and easy!).
My 2 recommendations are: GARDEN ANSWER and JES. Both gardening videos got me through the pandemic. One Gardens in Oregon and one in Michigan. They have such sweet spirits, so positive, and very informative!!
Check out “what Vivi did next” on YouTube. She gardens, lives frugally, reads a lot of books. I just love her channel!!!
Cademade on YouTube- gardening, decorating-hardworking, imaginative. Love him. Plus a relaxing voice. Also Decorating with Dana. So relaxing. I’m so happy you are enjoying Mary on White Cottage Company That I suggested. Hope you check out Cademade. He is so talented.
Hi Brenda,
I watch almost exclusively You Tube. You would like Kate at The Last Homely House and The Last Homely Garden (2 separate channels she runs). I also love The Positano Diaries with Nicki and Carlo. They live in Positano, Italy and just bought a house in Tuscany and are fixing it up. Nicki is English and Carlo is Italian.
Thanks for your tips!
I like to watch them go into thrift stores and see what they do with their finds. I learn a lot!
I’ve watched some of the DIY Wife videos and find her really talented and amazing. I also watch DIY Danie and Canterbury Cottage. Danie is another talented female carpenter and designer and Canterbury Cottage demonstrates how one can decorate on a budget using thrifted items. Two of my favorites are older video series that I return to again and again to remind myself that it doesn’t take a fortune to change the look of a room from boring to spectacular: Lowe’s “The Weekender” (with Monica Mangin), and Unsellables (or The Unsellables) with British host Sofie Allsopp, first seasons were homes in Canada – I think Toronto and suburbs, and the last season was filmed in the U.S. I love that I can watch Youtube videos for free at any time I want, and that I can do searches for specific projects like “decorate a small bathroom on a budget” or “budget guest room.” I tend to watch a lot of Youtube videos when I’m ramping up enthusiasm to tackle a new project around the house.
Thanks! I’ll check out these channels.
I watch most of the ones you watch
Cog hill farm is another one I watch. You would love all of the animals.
Will definitely check it out!
We mostly watch youtubers…you can learn so much from them and some are very funny folks!! Nice of them to share their lives. Actually, though I am sure we do not know every single thing about their lives, we feel some of them are kin as we know much more about them than we do even of our children’s lives truthfully. Life is stranger than fiction sometimes. I think one thing we have learned is what amazing creatures donkeys are!! Years ago when we lived in the country, I think we would have had a couple donkeys had we known then what we do now!! Also, some bloggers like you are good to share much of your lives…that is very nice of them and you!! Especially for those of us who are housebound mostly!!
