My Little Red Tree Vignette

Today I’m showing you my little red tree vignette that I placed at one end of my couch.

I still have other areas I’ve decorated in the living/dining space that I will show you another day. As well as my holiday decorating in the kitchen.

In My Little Red Tree Vignette, this is a Christmas-themed area next to one end of my couch.

Vintage Shiny Brite Ornaments:

I only have a handful of vintage Shiny Brite ornaments. So I added a few neutral ornaments to the Shiny Brites to fill the tree.

A kind blogger sent me the Shiny Brite ornaments over 10 years ago. I’ve managed to break a few over the years. But I cherish the ones I have left.

I’ve seen bloggers who have unearthed hundreds of these over the years. I just haven’t run across any decently priced Shiny Brites to add to my little collection.

Red ornaments in a wood bowl

My Little Red Tree Vignette:

These red ornaments are the ones that I had for the bigger tree, but turned out to be too large.

So those larger ornaments went into this wood bowl.

In My Little Red Tree Vignette, I added two little Christmas birds at the base of my red tree

Christmas Themed Birds:

See my cute little Christmas-themed birds with their holiday hats? I love birds of any variety. So I wanted these cuties to be a part of my vignette.

My tree sits inside a metal bucket I’ve had for years. It’s a perfect vessel with its distressed green finish for my little red tree to sit inside.

My holiday vignette consists of a small red Christmas tree with brown shutters used as a backdrop.

Little Red Truck:

I haven’t yet mentioned the little red truck I ordered recently.

When it was delivered, the bottle brush tree connected to the truck bed was not in good shape. It was smashed down in various areas.

So I pulled it off and added another bottle brush tree I had in my Christmas stash to replace it.

So pretty, Brenda! What a good idea to disiplay extra ornaments in a bowl or basket. And the little red truck is very cute. I am getting in the mood to put up some Christmas decorations this weekend. I like to decorate my little table tree with white and silver ornaments and white lights. Maybe I’ll find a cute bowl or box or something and display my extra ornaments in it. Thanks for the ideas!

Oh Iโ€™ve hurt my back as well ! I was reaching from front seat into the back seat and now Iโ€™m in agony. Hurts if I breathe deeply or sneeze ! I already have disc disease with one back surgery and I no longer can stand straight. But Iโ€™m lucky to still be walking so Iโ€™m grateful for that. It just takes me so much longer to do everything but Iโ€™m trying to learn to be patient with myself. Not easy but Iโ€™m getting there. I always love to see the lovely vignettes you arrange for every season and, of course, love to see pictures of Ivey, the most beautiful girl on the internet! She truly is a beauty. I gave a former feral who had to have a back leg amputated. Most would not think her beautiful but she is to me. I have fallen in love with her sweet little spirit. Sheโ€™s a tiny girl, probably was the runt but sheโ€™s devoted to me and me to her. She always knows my whereabouts and sleeps with me every night. I have a boy cat too who is a rescue from a Walmart parking lot but he was someoneโ€™s cat sometime ago. Heโ€™s a very loving cat and insists on being held and petted. I wear his cat fur often lol. Hope your back recoups quickly. Love your posts.

  10. Very nicely done! My favorite pic is the one with the red ornaments in the wooden bowl (and the bottle brush trees in the background).

  11. Itโ€™s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at your new place. I canโ€™t remember if you put much up last year with preparing to move. I am enjoying your decorating as I donโ€™t do as much as I use to now. I do my mantle with all different styles of trees and mingle in some bird figurines too. Love yours.

Enjoying your holiday decor posts! The pine cone ornaments are my favs but this vignette is so warm & welcoming. ‘Tis the season. I’m not decorating much this year so enjoying the season thru others. I am enjoying my Christmas music stations on Pandora.

    Happy Holidays to all!

  13. The little birds are cute! The Christmas gnomes are cute too that they suggest with it, but not the almost $20 dollars for it. Lol

Crazy weather it has been! It rained for a couple of days and today I woke up to snow on the ground! Iโ€™m just not ready for it bc itโ€™s been so nice around here. I was cutting tree limbs off and raking a day b4 it rained! Lol

  14. I have followed you since the beginning. I am your age, and pretty physically beat up by age too, I still have a big yard to care for though. Please check out The Foxy Crafters on FB. I love to make Junk Journals. It is so much fun. You might find something you like there…If you don’t do FB she is on Pinterest I think Tracie Fox. She has dozens of you tube videos.
I also learned to make felt from watching a pro in England. Her name is Jackie Cardy and she is on Pinterest and has hundreds of pics of her work on Flickr. I make felt art pieces I hope you find something interesting.

  16. That’s a delightful vignette! I, too, love red ornaments gathered in a bowl or any container. I’m crazy about your little birds with their adorable hats. Cute, cute, cute!
    Can’t wait to see more!
    Enjoy your day, Brenda.
