New & Notable Mentions #10
This week on New & Notable Mentions #10 I have more fall inspiration for you. As well as food, decorating, and upcoming books.
Decorating:
Joanna Anastasia has the prettiest kitchen. It is shown in her Cozy Fall Home Tour.
Life Is A Party has created fall vignettes in a space in her home. I love the paper birds soaring overhead.
On The Porch:
Deb & Danelle has a Halloween-themed front porch. Which I’m sure will thrill all the little trick-or-treaters later this month.
A Pretty Life In The Suburbs shows off her front porch decorated for the fall season.
Printables:
A Pop Of Pretty has a free printable with a fall quote for you to download. Doesn’t it look great framed?
Crafts/DIYs:
Little House Of Four DIYed this baking soda vase from the thrift store. I have no idea how she did it, but if you head over to her blog she’ll give you the instructions.
House Plants:
Clever Bloom will show you clever ways to hang your plants. That would get them up and away from the curious kitties!
Food:
One Lovely Life cooked Slow Cooker Barbacoa Beef. And then she tells us the various ways we could use this beef in meals.
For instance, below are tacos. You could also add barbacoa meat to burrito bowls, taco salads, or to top off a batch of nachos.
Dinner Then Dessert baked up a batch of Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes. This would be a great dessert for Halloween or Thanksgiving. Or any time!
Gimme Some Oven will show you how to make Iced Pumpkin Spice Lattes. She says you can have it ready in 5 minutes.
Books:
The book “These Silent Woods” by Kimi Cunningham Grant is coming out later this month.
No electricity, no family, no connection to the outside world.
A father and daughter living in the remote Appalachian mountains must reckon with the ghosts of their past in Kimi Cunningham Grant’s These Silent Woods, a mesmerizing novel of suspense.
Jodi Picoult is coming out with a new book at the end of November. It is called “Wish You Were Here.”
In this book, Diana O’Toole is on track to be married by 30, have children by 35 and move to the New York City suburbs. All while climbing the professional ladder.
But then a virus that felt worlds away appears in the city.
“The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves. We have had our summer evenings; now for October eves!” – Humbert Wolfe

I’m going to check out the hanging plants post. And, I’m always attracted to the food posts – those pumpkins look amazing!
I really enjoy these link posts that you do every week. That slow cooker beef is definitely going to be on my menu this week. We can get a few meals out of that….tacos, on top of long grain brown rice, perhaps as a bit of protein on top of a salad.
I like the ideas for the hanging plants. I should do that with more of mine. I’m running out of room on tables in front of windows! I’m limited where I can put my plants because of light needs and because Monkey eats certain plants. (His favorite are spider plants!)
Love the kitchen on the Joanna Anastasia blog. Had never seen her blog before. Lots to explore on the Life is a Party blog, too.
