New & Notable Mentions #7
This week in New & Notable Mentions #8 I’ve gone all over the internet to find you great links to read over the weekend.
Decorating:
Clean & Scentsible shows off her cozy fall dining room.
She always has great seasonal decor ideas.
Cuckoo 4 Design has done some fall decorating in the boho style.
Cuckoo 4 Design’s Julia always inspires me with her boho decor (as well as her cute kitty cats).
Crafts:
Julia also has a tutorial for a boho wall hanging.
House Plants:
Jane Perrone shows you 10 ways to make your house plants more sustainable.
Food:
Toaster Oven Love is one of my favorite cooking blogs because, obviously, I don’t have a stove and use a toaster/convection oven instead. Hey, it’s worked great for me for well over 7 years! This blog is also vegetarian cooking for 2 people.
This post is about toaster oven hacks, and they all look so good.
Toaster Oven Love also has a sweet little recipe for Cinnamon Glazed Whole Wheat Mini Pumpkin Donuts. That’s one long recipe title.
The Rising Spoon has a delicious sounding recipe for Buffalo Chicken Cobb Salad. I’ve got to eat more salad and this sounds like a winner to me.
Bookish has 6 mystery and thriller audiobooks for your spooky season. Because Halloween is just around the corner!
Beverages:
Inspired By Charm has a recipe for Pumpkin Spice White Russians. He’s got a good little collection of White Russian recipes on his blog.
Buttered Side Up blog will show you how to make her Easy Iced Chai Recipe. It’s still very hot in my neck of the woods. So this sounds very refreshing.
I’ll have to check out that Toaster Oven post – I do have an oven, but if there’s an easier way, sign me up!
I so appreciate your Toaster Oven link. After I got my Breville, I stopped using my regular oven altogether. I have had good luck finding “toaster oven sized” bakeware on Amazon. The only thing I can’t find is a 4-cup popover pan. Popovers are big to begin with, but the regular six cup pan is simply too large to fit into the Breville.
Really learned alot of how to use my toaster/convection oven more. Thank you for doing the research for us. Very helpful.
Some great links there, Brenda! I have a toaster oven as well as a regular oven/range but since it’s now just the two of us at home, I use the toaster oven a lot more than the regular oven. I had no idea you could make grilled cheese sandwiches in the toaster oven! We don’t eat them often, but next time I make them, I’m going to try them in the toaster oven instead of making them in a pan on the stovetop.
I thoroughly enjoyed this post. I too loved the Buffalo chicken salad recipe and looking forward to more of her recipes.
Oh Brenda,
I can’t wait to try that Buffalo chicken Cobb salad; the presentation is gorgeous! The pumpkin spice white Russian is intriguing. I received a gift of assorted small liqueurs a few yrs. ago and will use some to make these.
Happy Fall weekend from the sodden Pacific Northwest!
