Are you a fan of Art Nouveau style graphics, as in the butterfly below, and the other graphics you see in this post?

This butterfly is considered Art Nouveau Style Graphics.

Art Nouveau designs often drew inspiration from nature, vines, insects, and flora. It was an influential international design movement (c. 1890–1910) characterized by organic, flowing lines, sinuous “whiplash” curves, and natural forms like plants and flowers.

Yesterday, I was scrolling through Etsy stores that sell clip art, where I get all the graphics I use here on this blog. And I stumbled upon this one Etsy site, which made me pause in my scrolling.

The shop owner’s name is Laura, from Kranidi, Greece. Her Etsy shop is called Coastal Garden Designs.

You can use these graphics for a range of projects. Digital paper, templates, phone wallpapers, stationery, or clip art. You can use them for thank-you cards as well. Or you could print them out and frame them.

There is also Japandi clip art available in her Etsy shop. This style combines Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics, with a calm, casual, and organic look.

William Morris Style:

As I’ve mentioned before, I love William Morris-style art. These graphics reminded me of the William Morris prints I have in my home. I kept scrolling through the shop’s graphics, trying to choose what to purchase.

I ended up purchasing 5-6 sets of these graphics. If you like any of them enough to print them for your own use, that is fine. I have these graphics currently sized to 1000 pixels.

I might print some of them and frame them for my bookshelf area (when I do this project, which will be soon). They would complement the William Morris prints nearby, above the fireplace.

I don’t think I’ve shown you the print below. It is hanging in my hallway. It is large, 24×36 inches, and I bought it before Christmas during a big sale on Amazon.

Art Nouveau Cat

A cat graphic in art nouvea style.

Aren’t these images stunning? I love beautiful things, as I know you do, so I sat and scrolled through her graphics, knowing I’d have to buy some of them. I probably now have more than 100 of these graphics. Each set was under $3.

I have groupings of terrariums, desserts, cats, flowers, all the things I love! There are many more like these, and I was excited to share how attractive these graphics are. You will be seeing them here and there, accenting my regular blog posts.

What is Art Nouveau?

By definition, Art Nouveau is an art style that flourished between about 1890 and 1910 across Europe and the United States. It was a deliberate attempt to create a new style, free of the imitative historicism that dominated much of 19th-century art and design.

The term Art Nouveau was coined in Belgium by the periodical L’Art Moderne to describe the work of the artist group Les Vingt, and in Paris by S. Bing (byname of Siegfried Bing), who named his gallery L’Art Nouveau.

The Ivy graphic I use on this blog is one I purchased from an Etsy shop owner in Paris. I sent her a photo of Ivy, and the Ivy logo you see is what she created.

My Washing Machine Conundrum:

In other news, I still don’t have a working washing machine. The appliance guy was here another three hours last week, and the washing machine still comes on and goes off. You have to recalibrate the sensors each time you use it, I learned from reading online.

But then I have to unplug the machine, which is plugged into a hard-to-reach outlet, or it will continue making those noises.

I’ve done a bit of reading, and I think these sounds are the sensors trying to realign, and for some reason, aren’t able to. I need to determine my next step because I really need a washing machine.

  1. I used to spend hours searching for fresh ideas for advertising because standard templates quickly became boring, and competitors were always one step ahead. Then I realized that in order to keep up, I needed to quickly spy on Telegram campaigns — see which texts, images, and formats were currently converting. This gave me the same flow of inspiration as the organic curves of Art Nouveau, only with real data. If you want to effectively analyze your competitors on Telegram without unnecessary expenses, check out the tool comparison — it reviews the best free and paid options for 2025. Thanks to this, my creatives now look fresh, not formulaic, and the results have gone up.

  2. It sounds like your next step unfortunately is going to be to buy a new washer. If you can afford it, I’d look into that speed queen that everybody has highly recommended. Sounds pricey, but at least it sounds like it will last you without giving you any more problems. I’m sorry that is giving you troubles.

  3. I’ve had both my water heater and dishwasher die within months of each other. I googled the average cost of repairs based on the symptoms and sounds my appliances were making. Turns out, repairs would cost 1/2 the price of a brand new appliance. I could pay for replacement parts, but the rest of the appliances were still old and still aging. That made my decision for me. A new water heater and dishwasher with warranties.

    1. What I paid I could have almost bought a new washer.

  4. I highly recommend getting a Speed Queen washer. I’ve had mine for 7 years and it works like a charm. Worth every penny.

  5. Love the Art Nouveau graphics. The colors are so beautiful! I’m also a William Morris fan. I’m looking for wallpaper in that style for a bathroom. That washing machine situation is a travesty.

    1. I just hate the thought of buying new appliances because they don’t seem well-made at all. Ever since I got my dryer just over a year ago, sometimes the door won’t shut. It’s so frustrating when we spend so much of our money!

So sorry about the washing machine debacle. I hope they realize you have readers and we do pay attention to such information!! In all this mess we are in, dealing with my Hubby’s broken leg and things needed to do with that, I would have screamed if it would have helped!! These companies need to realize that not all of us are living in looloo land with money to throw away and actually are handicapped to a degree and unable to just hop in the car and run off to find solutions to the problems they have presented to us. You would not believe all I went thru just to get a shower chair for my husband, as well as a pair of pants that snap open and shut in order to go to see the doctor (yes, they are a thing but several pairs had snaps that fell off EVEN PRIOR TO WEARING). He finally just 2 days ago has been able to do without his brace…tho we are SUPER careful about everything. But this whole situation was made way worse than it needed to be by the incompetents we have faced in almost every single situation, beginning with having to spend 10 hours in the ER just to get set up with brace and for someone to determine exactly if his leg was broken even, as it was in place. Having broken a few bones in my life I knew INSTANTLY when it happened. DOES NOT take a rocket scientist. But we live in a very backward town. Obviously. I hope you can get ahold of someone who will get you a new machine as you were obviously sold a lemon. I guess you can be glad it is ONLY a machine and not a body part being the problem.

    1. I don’t think these companies and these billionaires give a flip about us old folks. They’re just so greedy.

  7. Melanie R says:

Yes, I love art nouveau prints. The ones you have in your home are very pretty.

Terrible about your washing machine. I’m so sorry.

    1. Melanie, if you can copy them off here, you might try that. I can always go back to the original image and provide a larger version. I put them on here for people to use if possible.

  8. I love these graphics, I will definitely take a look at the esty shop.
Today Simon and I have taken in 2 cats. They are brothers and are around 8 years old. There owner went into hospital, not expecting she wouldn’t be coming out again but sadly she didn’t. They were in the care of a animal organization, they were a little worried that we might die before they did (we are 81 and 82) so I guess that is a possibility but anyway she liked our application best so here we are with two beautiful cats, they are both very gentle. They are just getting to know us and are still a little bit wary. We could not be happier with them. Sorry about your washing machine Brenda I do hope it can be rectified soon.

    1. Congrats on your cats! They will give you lots of entertainment and love!
