Today I have new photos of Kendra’s cat, Maggie, and a family update.
Last night I went to Kendra’s house for supper. She cooked pot roast, mashed potatoes, and green beans. She makes a great pot roast.
I took a strawberry cake that I baked yesterday afternoon for the four of us, Kendra, Riley, Marley, and me. The food was delicious.

Below is how Magnolia/Maggie looked when Kendra first brought her home. She was skinny, hungry, and frightened.

Maggie is bigger, weighs what a normal cat should weigh, and her calico coat is nice and shiny. She’s very social and loves to be the center of attention. Maggie looks and acts nothing like the way she did when Kendra first brought her home. She’s very well settled in and seems quite happy.
Kendra said she ate everything in sight for a while, I suppose because she’d gone hungry. But now she’s healthy. She completely changed this poor cat’s life.
Below is Millie, her other cat. She, too, was a stray cat without a home. As she got older, her fur grew longer.

Kendra’s Patio:
Today is supposed to be a warm day, around 65. That is welcome after several weeks of cold days. So it’s a great day for building her patio.
I believe they’re removing the window in her bedroom and installing sliding glass doors today. Then she can access her patio from the bedroom. She’s going to love this outdoor space.

There will be a built-in fireplace, and she’s going to add a TV. I don’t get the addition of a TV, but then that’s just me. In my book, going outside is nature’s place, and a TV wouldn’t be necessary. But I suppose if it means she’ll spend even more time out there, then it’s worth it to her.
I will take more photos to show you when things are further along.
Kasi’s Lakehouse:
Kasi’s lakehouse is coming along nicely. It should be finished before long. I’ll probably see her Saturday. She said the kitchen cabinets have been installed, so I guess the house will be completed before long. I know they’ll enjoy that second home a lot.
Kasi works from home, so she can work from the lakehouse when she wants. They’ll likely retire there one day.

Neighbor Cat News:
Smitty next door has caught the stray cats’ kittens (Darlin’s). There are three kittens.
He said life has been hell for that poor baby (Darlin’, he named her) since the old woman who had her died, and she was forced to live outdoors. Now she’s (Darlin’) inside his house with her kittens.
Poor baby. To lose the woman, and then to live outdoors when she was an indoor pet, must have been awful for her.

The neighborhood will rally and help them to get these cats spayed, so hopefully we’ll have fewer cats around her.
I feel so sorry for the cats who don’t have homes, though I never see stray dogs running around the neighborhood.
Some of the cats stay warm down in Smitty’s basement. I have three cat houses on my porch, and one is heated, but I can’t tell if they’re using them. However, I don’t have a basement.
My Cats:
All my cats must be napping, because the house is quiet. Usually, this is around the time Simon gets a case of the cat zoomies. I’m sure once he’s awake, there will be lots of mischief.

Yes, Simon and Daisy remain very close. They show their affection by licking each other, and they constantly run and play together.
Ivy still hisses at them much of the time. But it is what it is. I’m happy and content with my three kitties. I have now lived here for over a year, and I love this house!

At first I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the experience turned out amazing. The features are creative, the atmosphere is welcoming, and I never get bored. Halfway through my exploration I clicked https://voltage-bet.net, and it instantly became my favorite place to spend time online.

I love your house too, and I don’t even live there! 😂
I’m so glad Maggie has adjusted to her new forever home, and I’m glad your neighbor has managed to get mama and babies inside where they’ll be safe and warm. All is good in the neighborhood! I can’t wait to see your girls’ homes completed. They are really going to enjoy them.
Haha! You took that pic if Ivy after I left the other day, didn’t you! Just a kitty looking fir some privacy. 😉
Brenda,
Happy 1 year anniversary. This house is charming and I am so happy that you were able to move her and be away from all of the nonsense of that last place that you lived.
It’s always nice to see your kitties and to know that Magnolia is doing well.
Happy Weekend.
What a nice family update. Nice to hear good news about all the kitties and how people are so kind to take care of the strays. We are so blessed to have our cozy little houses and I am glad you love yours! Have a good weekend!
Oh those kitties are so sweet!! All of them. Seems the cat population around my place has grown too much! My neighbors died and the person that bought their house rents it out. They move in for a small time and then abandon the cats. Over and over!! They’re all feral. We try to feed them and I have a warm place on my porch for them but it’s getting outrageous. Some people should not ever own an animal.
Here in TN it’s still cold with a really cold snap due in on Sun. Feels like January.
The house is coming along nicely too, I know they’ll love it this Summer.
Hope you have a great, peaceful holiday season. Enjoy that warmer weather!
It will be warm for today and then it will get cold again.
Kitties are so cute. Simon is absolutely gorgeous. I’m so glad you love your home.
And it’s nice to live in a home that I love as much as I do this house!
I guess I’ve lost track of time. Thought you’d been in this house 2 years.
No, I moved in here November 1, 2024.
