Books:
LUCKY, a book by Marissa Stapley, is a compelling and thrilling road-trip novel about a talented grifter whose past comes back to haunt her.
Lucky Armstrong is a tough, talented swindler who has just pulled off a million-dollar heist with her boyfriend, Cary. She’s ready to start a brand-new life, with a new identity—when things go sideways.
Penniless and alone for the first time in her life, Lucky discovers that a lottery ticket she bought on a whim is worth millions. There’s just one big problem: cashing in the winning ticket means she’ll be arrested for her crimes.
The book “What Comes After”, a novel by Joanne Tompkins, came out in the spring of this year.
After the shocking death of two teenage boys tears apart a community in the Pacific Northwest, a mysterious pregnant girl emerges out of the woods and into the lives of those same boys’ families—a moving and hopeful novel about forgiveness and human connection.
In misty, coastal Washington State, Isaac lives alone with his dog, grieving the recent death of his teenage son, Daniel. Next door, Lorrie, a working single mother, struggles with a heinous act committed by her own teenage son.
Separated by only a silvery stretch of trees, the two parents are emotionally stranded, isolated by their great losses—until an unfamiliar sixteen-year-old girl shows up, bridges the gap, and changes everything.
“That’s the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.” – Jhumpa Lahiri in The Namesake

I’d like to sit down at that table with fresh greenery, and big servings of the sweet potato casserole, and the pecan pie!
That small table-top Christmas tree is giving me lots of ideas. My 87-year-old mother and I have no desire to deal with our 7 feet tall artificial tree. A couple of 3 feet tall trees might just be the ticket to decorate for the holidays without climbing on a ladder to hang ornaments.
Lots of pretty holiday shares today! Thanks for the inspiration.
Another good winter read. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you will see your daughters for the holiday.
