Products That Make My Life Easier

There are 3 products I want to show you that make my life easier. These items have quickly become my recent favorite finds from Amazon.com.

Collage of recent favorite finds

In the past few months, as you know, I’ve been recuperating from ankle surgery. Making meals and toting water around has become a little more awkward while getting around on a knee scooter.

When I ordered these products, I knew I was going to be saving myself time and energy.

Three Products I Love And Recommend:

  1. Koios Smoothie Maker
  2. Stainless Steel Metal Straws
  3. Volcarock Stainless Steel Water Bottle
In Products That Make My Life Easier, this smoothie maker is at the top of my list.

Koios Smoothie Maker:

This powerful blender has an 850W copper motor with pulse technology. Chopping, blending, mixing, grating, pureeing, and grinding becomes quick and simple tasks.

There is also an extra flat blade and cup to grind coffee beans and nuts.

Why I Love It:

I’m truly enjoying this 11-piece Koios bullet blender/smoothie maker I recently ordered. I have a smoothie for lunch nearly every day.

To make a smoothie, I put frozen fruit, whey protein powder, and almond milk in one of the two to-go cups. My smoothies this past week have been made using frozen bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and mangos.

You insert the proper blade into the cup and then turn it upside down and put it into the blender. Then you just push down on the top of the cup and this starts the blender. Then add the spout lid.

It takes about one minute to make a smoothie with this bullet blender. Thus easily creating a nutritious and delicious smoothie.

Since I’ve been limited by having to use the knee scooter, this smoothie maker is an easy meal that is nutritious and easy to clean up.

And it is currently less than $50.

Stainless steel straws from Amazon.com

Stainless Steel Metal Straws:

The Hiware 12-pack reusable stainless steel metal straws come with a fabric case to keep them tidy when stored.

These straws are under $10 (currently $6.99) and replace plastic throwaway straws.

You get 3 straight straws and 3 bent straws of 10.5” for 30oz tumblers. Plus 3 straight straws and 3 bent straws of 8.5” for 20oz tumblers. And it comes with brushes to clean the straws.

The straws are made of 18/8 food-grade stainless steel, are BPA and lead-free, and are dishwasher-safe.

There is no metal aftertaste.

Each reusable straw can potentially eliminate up to 500 plastic straws over its lifetime.

When you purchase a 12-pack of reusable straws, you’ll be saving over 6000 disposable straws.

In Products That Make My Life Easier, I'm now using this insulated water bottle instead of plastic bottled water.

VOLCAROCK Sports Water Bottle:

This 24-ounce insulated water bottle keeps liquids cold for up to 24 hours.

The standard mouth double wall insulation makes the flask sweat-free, which is an added bonus. You can choose from six colors.

This insulated sports water bottle is made of 18/8 Stainless steel that is 100% BPA-free and non-toxic. It never leaves a metallic taste. And it’s dishwasher safe.

It has a BPA-free lid sealed with silicone to prevent the water bottle from splashing. And it’s completely leakproof when laid on its side or even shaken.

I can fill the bottle with ice and water and take it from room to room without fear of spillage while on the knee scooter.

Each of these 3 products has been making my life a lot easier these days. So I highly recommend them.

  1. I have those stainless steel straws. I use them to drink my iced coffee or tea in the summer. I also have a stainless steel water bottle but mine’s a Hyroflask. It keeps my water cold even in the hottest weather for many hours. Came with a spout cap, too so I can drink right out of that. They’re really expensive online but I was lucky enough to find mine at HomeGoods last year.

  2. I have gone to silicone straws. I read where a woman in the UK, I believe, was walking and she tripped and her metal straw went thru her eye and she punctured her brain and died. I have tripped occasionally so I didn’t want to take any chances. I love the silicone. I didn’t really like that metal next to my teeth.

    1. This might be one of those “what are the chances” but I don’t want to find out. I put my silicone ones in my dishwasher also. Some do come with the little cleaner brush.

  3. I love my insulated water bottle! I have two of them – one for my ice water and one for my Coke Zero. I also have reusable straws that are dishwasher safe. A couple of years ago, I was going to Sonic all of the time. I love their ice. But once Goodwill stopped taking styrofoam, I got my insulated bottle and started drinking Coke Zero from that instead. The older I get, the more environmentally friendly I become!

  4. Hi Brenda, quick question…do you have to unscrew the lid to the water bottle to drink out of it? or does it have a “flip” closure? I couldn’t tell by looking at pictures on amazon. I’m hoping it’s easy to drink out of while driving. Thanks, Linda in Keno, Oregon

  5. Thank you got sharing these favorite things. One of my favorite things is a small wooden cutting board. It fits in the drawer where I keep my knives so everything is kept tidy.
When do you go back to your surgeon? Have a nice weekend.

  6. I’ve looked at that smoothie blender before but just put it in the cart. We have metal straws and they work great. This is a great price on these. Thank you for such great reviews!

  7. I love making smoothies. I make lots of flavor combinations, but my favorite one is a chocolate peanut butter and banana smoothie. It’s so good! I like the insulated drink holder, because it’s dishwasher safe. None of mine are, so that’s a definite plus. Do they come in larger sizes?

    1. I suppose you’re referring to the water bottle? I didn’t see bigger sizes for this particular water bottle. I forgot to mention the handle you can carry it around with. It’s handy.
