  4. What a perfect day..shopping, good food, and great Family gathering …sounds great. My sis n law shared with me a similar recipe years ago..like your daughters..but calls it taco salad, whereas, you make the taco beef meat, rice, corn, beans, let tomato onion and salsa..and of course whatever. It is so yummi and good comfort food. I bet the chicken one is wonderful, too. Looking forward to seeing your new side table and the today’s blog series. :0) .. Thank you for sharing your joy..it like a little novel. :0) ..have a blessed weekend.

I love the way you look after Charlie and Ivy, they could not have better care. If only every pet was looked after so well. They all deserve it.

How nice that you went to her home for dinner. You mentioned not seeing the street signs, etc. Does your cell phone have GPS on it? I have to use that on my phone a lot.

  12. So wonderful you have gotten re-established with your daughter. I hope she realizes, no matter the differences between you, she has missed so much being estranged from her Mother.
    Love your Blog.

  13. How nice, Brenda, to have gotten to spend time with your daughter and Marley in their home. I’m so glad you got to do that. And, yes, humming definitely is good! I don’t do enough of it myself and I know I do have things in my life that should make me hum. Like these dear little boys that live with me and challenge my patience and hearing every day! They’re a challenge but it’s really such a privilege to be in a close relationship with them.

Our Tuesday Morning closed a few months ago and I really miss it. It was located in a popular little shopping center not far from my house and I don’t know why it closed. There is also a Home Goods, a Kirklands, a Michael’s and a JoAnn’s in that shopping center so maybe there was too much competition. Still, I would shop there before I’d go to Home Goods or Kirklands. Anyway, I wish it was still there because there isn’t another one anywhere in the city. Oh, yes, there is also a TJ Maxx there so I can see the competition was stiff. Oh, well.

  14. As happy as you are I’m sure Marley and your daughter are too. Very happy for you to have them in your life.

  15. What wonderful news! I think your readers are all humming along with you. Great that you and your older daughter have reconnected. And I know that you will enjoy spending time with Marley, your grandson, and their fur babies.

Gosh, Ivy has grown! She looks very tall while standing up and investigating that humidifier. Hope Charlie is feeling better and hope that your earache is better.

    Enjoy your day.

What did your daughter cook for dinner?
Have a fantastic weekend coming up!

    1. She calls it burrito bowls. It is shredded chicken on rice and you add cheese, guacamole bits, lettuce, beans, whatever you choose. It was good. Like a salad bar.

  21. Hi Brenda,
I am so happy you were able to have dinner with your daughter and granddaughter. I bet your daughter’s boyfriend will like the mortar too. So thoughtful.

I love dinners with my two daughters and grands. Special time.

You need to look into watching the five on Netflix. It is about 5 kids growing up and how they hung with each other and the one’s little brother gets taken and the story evolves from there. It goes into their adult lives and how this change each one of them and it is a great mystery of who took the little guy and what happened to him. It has lots of twists and turns and I loved it because there is some dark stuff in this but it ends so well and uplifting. It was a good series to watch. Just an idea and it is set in London.
