7 Porches Decorated For Christmas
One of you asked me to feature Christmas porches, and I found 7 that I thought you might like. Oddly enough, I had more trouble finding porches decorated for Christmas than I expected.
Two Purple Couches:
Emily from “Two Purple Couches” went with vintage-inspired decor for her porch. She said that her Christmas porch decor is inspired from some sweet vintage-style holiday pieces she’s been collecting.
Cottage At The Crossroads:
Jane and Leo from “Cottage At The Crossroads” decorated their large screened-in porch with farmhouse flair. They added lots of critters, barns, and traditional plaid.
Below I made a collage of some of the other views of the Christmas porch at Cottage At The Crossroads.
Two tobacco baskets are hanging on the repurposed red doors. A lot of tobacco used to be grown in the area where they live, so the baskets are a nod to their agricultural heritage.
House Of Hawthornes:
Pam from “House Of Hawthornes” added retro decor to her Christmas porch. She mixed these decorative pieces in with rustic or traditional decor.
Kelley Nan:
Kelley at the “Kelley Nan” blog said that she likes to honor the traditional craftsman-style exterior of their home with a classic vibe.
Modern Glam:
Ashley from the blog “Modern Glam” went with the vintage as well as the traditional route on her front porch. She added fun frosted bulb lights to her faux pine garland.
This is a look that could go right on through the winter months.
She Holds Dearly:
Sarah at “She Holds Dearly” made the checked pillows with fabric she found in a free box at a yard sale. And the Christmas tree pillow is made from a dish towel.
Simplicity In The South:
The blogger at “Simplicity In The South” had saved a similar framed ornament tree photo she found on Pinterest. She always wanted to try making one of her own. And what she came up with is beautiful!
I hope these 7 porches give you inspiration in decorating your own porches for the holidays.
I love the one from She Holds Dearly.
I never cease to be amazed at how creative so many people are! I love each of these decorated porches but the kicker for me is the cow head tree topper at “Cottage at the Crossroads.” I’m chuckling now just thinking about it. The photo of Leo pointing at that tree topper with that expression on his face – priceless!
Check out the Nesting with Grace blog for a small porch example.
Thank you! I’ll go check that out right now.
These are awesome 👌
Wow, these are beautiful! I can’t imagine all the work that goes into creating these beautiful porches. My enthusiasm runs the gamut of a wreath on the door and a Christmas door mat, lol.
Yeah! Thank you for doing this post! These are all lovely! That cat curled up on the blanket… ! How cute is that?! My porch is about the size of the one from Modern Glam. I will usually put a wreath on my door, and 2 poinsettias, one on each side of the door. Not a huge porch to decorate, but it’s what I have to work with. Maybe I can find a festive door mat to add to my decorations.
I also liked the frame with the ornament tree in it. That’s clever and pretty. Thank you, again, for doing this post!
Well, it turns out Modern Glam has a big, beautiful porch to decorate, and she did a wonderful job. However, I only have the tiny space by my front door. It’s ok. I’m still inspired by how nicely she decorated the space by her door. Even a small space, can look just as beautiful!
Beautifully decorated porches. I too like the metal bucket with the ornaments. I also like the cow on the tree at The Cottage at the Crossroads!
Beautifully decorated porches! I, too, liked the metal bucket with the ornaments in the top pic.
All very cheerful and festive! I especially liked the metal bucket with the ornaments in the top pic.
