Airy & Light Apartment Tour In Seattle

This Seattle apartment tour features rooms with lots of glorious natural light.

Darlene Campos lives in this apartment in a gorgeous, tree-lined neighborhood in Seattle.

Light & Bright Apartment Living Room:

Her small living room is cozy with the chairs turned inward for conversation. House plants bring in a touch of nature that both cleans the air and adds texture to her decor.

Soft Feminine Decor:

Darlene is a director of marketing and strategy. She rents this 800 square foot home that she’s decorated in feminine pastels.

When she left Chicago for Seattle to search for a place to live, she narrowed the selection to the neighborhood she most desired to live in.

She moved into a studio in the same complex until the unit with the larger balcony she desired became available. Then she moved into that one.

A white bookshelf holds decor, framed photos, and books important to the apartment occupant.

Darlene Lists Recent Books She’s Read

Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid
Caste by Isabel Wilkerson
Educated by Tara Westover
HRH by Elizabeth Holmes (a very fun light read)
Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett (I personally loved this book)
Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb

The above photo shows that light colors dominate. A soft throw contained in a wicker basket is at the ready for cold winter nights.

Gold Bar Cart For Beverages:

A gold bar cart holds beverages for entertaining. A philodendron plant winds through the bars, softening the metal angles.

So the TV wouldn’t appear to hog the wall, Darlene added a gallery wall above it as a distraction.

Shop TV Consoles

Small Apartment Dining Space:

A wood dining table shines in the natural light, ready for the next meal to be served. A pink bouquet in a white vase is the centerpiece.

Coffee, anyone? The makings for coffee are neatly arranged in black and stainless steel for hurried mornings on the go.

Shop French Press Coffee Makers

The Apartment Bedroom:

A bed with neutral linens and a soft pop of pink awaits Darlene at the end of the day. The abundant natural light from the nearby window makes a money plant thrive.

This is the kind of apartment Darlene obviously decorated with love, and the need to feel relaxed and comfortable in her space.

  1. I missed your regular posts on instagram! So, I came over here to check on you. xoxo

  2. That is a beautiful apartment! One of my favorites you’ve shown so far. I love Seattle, although it’s been a while since I’ve been there. I’m sad to hear another reader say it’s gone downhill.

  3. So, so, so, so sad what has happened to Seattle…one of the most beautiful cities…used to be. Still beautiful places of course…but not a place one could advise others to move to now. One of my cousins has 2 of 3 kids there and wanted to move closer to his kids, but he says it is way too ruined now (crime) and even California, where he wants to leave, apparently seems a better choice. We live not so awfully far from that area…used to live in a north part of it until a couple years ago. What has happened there is a huge grief to those of us who have loved it.

  4. What a beautiful apt she has. Would have loved to see her patio. I lived on Whidbey Island for a couple of years then Seattle proper. I certainly left a piece of my heart there.
