Book Summary:
Abby Endicott, Boston’s chief homicide prosecutor, has a new case on her hands when the star catcher for the Red Sox goes missing on opening day.
Then another player turns up dead, and Abby discovers greased baseballs and mysterious sums of cash. It’s looking more and more like she needs to be looking at the whole team.
The murders are part of a scheme to make sure the winners keep on winning, even if they have to cheat to get there.
My Review:
Oddly, two books in a row I’ve read that were just so-so. This book was entertaining, but nothing special. Just your garden variety mystery.
